  one thing that i enjoy about this board is the variety of topics that you can enjoy.

  there is the "fluff" and there is the serious and there's something a little in between.

  which subjects do you find most interesting to read?

  I like a variety of posts.I generally stay away from the long and religious ones.The fluff can be fun but I also like some intellect and controversy.

  as we were digesting the spiritual food at the bookstudy tonight [yes i actually had to see this for myself] the topic of watchtower.org and freeminds came up from the elder in charge of the study.he flagrantly discredited freeminds with verbal sarcasm and distain and condemned watchtower.org as apostate and totally demonized the website .during this he mentioned he was not abliged to answer any of the questions that may have been raised about the society and beliefs because he felt that jesus didn't always answer the pharisees with what they would have expected like something that would incriminate himself.then the term legal department was brought to the fore.i really couldn't believe this is their reaction to inquiring minds.

  tdogg- I can agree it sounds so elementary but I do believe that verbal reading skills are important .The thing that gets on my nerves is if they appoint one that requires a degree in eubonics to understand or anyone with a strong accent .I also don't understand a religion that disregards the scripture that states women to learn in silence yet women are allowed to answer at the bookstudy yet they are never appointed as the assigned reader. I mean they even make everyone sit through the theocratic ministry which includes women on stage reading scripture and playing out conversations but yet they can't read at the book study ,so everyone just pretends to be listening in on a conversation rather than accepting the fact that they are teaching the gospel in front of the congregation . [:?]

  I agree this guy was just looking like a complete dip f#$k .I am thinking of going regularly just to take notes. there is a gold mind of posts in here somewhere.Since they really can't reprove or dictate my activities cause I'm not a member of the church this could be more interesting than a barrel of monkeys.

  good post minimus . Although I can agree that borrowing money that you don't want to pay back only cause you think the world is dying is a pretty stupid idea.I do have to say though they need to own up to the false anticpation that they portrayed of the world ending on specific dates .The bible does say noone knows the day or hour of the son of mans return and they should have stuck with that..This is typical human behavior of taking credit for the good and blaming everyone else for the bad.

  There are a number of ways they could find out about the site .He did mention the child molestation issue that was on the tv.He also said he didn't believe in a freemind.[:v]

  the dates are when they were born.

  karl klein,and lyman swingle both died this year.im not sure about john barr or carey barber,as to whether they died also.i hope this helps.

  What kills me is in this weeks watchtower they again profess that all the anointed have been accounted for .I don't know why they continue in this futile mindset on the issue.The bible does say noone can read the mind of God.

  It's all coming back to me now .He did mention the official website but didn't mention the web address .He definately condemned watchtower.org as apostate.This all happened with the assigned book reader agreeing with him .tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

  That's what you get when you try to pull something out of your ass during an outlined book study .I really didn't catch it till minimus posted I just assumed he was talking about the observer. that really killed me minimus
