it was the cutting off from the tree of life that actually was the main factor in our short life spans .Genesis clearly says if they continued to eat from it the could live indefinitely .The WTBTS does twist that around and pretends it doesn't actually know what's meant by the tree of life . Obviously it's impossible for animals to sin they don't have a soul .

I just wonder myself how many go because they deem it a satanic ritual . Not everybody that goes is in the organization even , I'm not in the org. but did attend a couple of times just because the board mentioned the date and to see what was going on .I did walk out as they passed the emblems around because I'm not satanic and don't even want to be involved in it like that. The apostle Paul did state that if you do go that you should expect to eat a full dinner so eating and drinking prior to it is out according to his counsel .Real easy to find in the quick reference, just look up lords evening meal .

My mom is dying of lung cancer
by ldrnomo inbut thank god because at least she won't have to be destroyed at armeggedon because she is not a jehovah's witness.
she was a catholic all her life and is very devoted to her god and jesus she is 85 and smoked up until 1981 so her death won't be the most pleasent but hospice is doing a wonderful job at making her last few months comfortable.
i'm so glad i don't buy into all the crap the watchtower bible and tract society teaches.

So sorry to for your loss. My dad died last month of prostate cancer complications and what a horrible end to face for anybody. I can say tho that I am glad he didn't die on Gods day of wrath . I mean that's pretty bad if you do .

I'm thinking of that WATER4GAS offer -- you tried it on your vehicle?

I'd say if it worked the government needs to make sure everybody is converted by paying for it . If we can blow a billion a day on a pointless occupation then I think something should be done right here with our own money. BTW I did hear it only increased somebodies mileage by 3 mpg. I think there are allot of solutions to our problems and we just have a deliberate incompetent government .

I think it's really sad they make everybody actually have to pass it instead of just letting partakers sit at a table or go to the back room to actually eat a dinner first as was done and should be done , like a church dinner , I don't know that you would have to make sure it was kosher at sun down since christians are no longer bound by sabbath law , just on nissan 14 would probably be good ,since it was initiated when the sun went down over Israel anyway and they are like 18 hour difference from the west . I think it is important since it is the only way to enter the christian covenant , baptism is not the way into the covenant otherwise jesus would have left it at that .

probably my first on here, but this has always bugged me, and i've never received a satisfactory answer.. how does someone become annointed?
when i was a child, my grandpa, who was an elder, told me that if you are of the annointed, you just know.

I think there is allot more to it than they are willing to say (not like most people don't think they're nuts anyway) but it really is something personal between them and God . I also know that they are instructed to sell all their worldly goods and give gifts of mercy to the poor and as long as they keep seeking first the kingdom and righteousness all their needs will be met and I also feel that the only real ones are martyrs in the end , having to face the final test of getting the ax for their witness to jesus , as mentioned in Revelation . They are the first resurrection that the second death has no authority over.

by heathen inanybody hear anything special about it ?
was talking to a witness last night and he mentioned there was some significance to next years memorial in regard to the 1975 date or there about that ended mans six thousand years from creation and now it has something also to do with jesus 33.5 years on earth .
just curious for more info that may be out there as this person suggested that the remaining remnant were very excited about it..........

Hope4Others-- There may be replacements but at this point things should be pretty much settled in that area from the WTBTS point of view ,there may be some stragglers left but that would be all speculation on their part as the only requirement for membership is to approve of yourself , you don't need their approval to eat and drink at the "memorial" supper.

Now why would the WTBTS look to josephus for the answer? , he obviously wasn't alive at the time and only had biblical sources to work with and him not being "anointed" wouldn't add anything worth bringing up. I can bet on one thing and that is there will be a record number of people at next years memorial .
