All I can say is that in revelation all those that obey the command of , Thou Shalt not kill, are sent to prison , not to alternative service .. I never did agree with alternative service myself , so your complaint is another flip flop but in the end you got out of fighting a stinking war that nobody wanted accept defense contractors ..... YAY you , gulf of tonkin was a false flag ....

interesting. I would be happy that they supported non compliance during viet nam tho . that would be the silver lining for me since viet nam was nothing but a huge failure for the military but made the banking cartels extremely wealthy.

that was an interesting article , now all they have to admit is that they play the role of the evill slave if not by lying by then by attacking others who probably tried to inform them in the past , I think they even demanded more out of it's follwers because their failed prophesies were about to be exposed . Sick and tired of them trying to call everyone that gets a public forum such as this site being called the evil slave , hello!!! noone here ever said they were any kind of slave .They should apologize to all those they stepped on for questioning .

My thoughts and observations re: the Memorial
by 144001 inwhile sitting through my annual visit to a kingdom hall tonight, i had the following thoughts/observations:.
1. the speaker appealed to the kids: "how many here are 15 years of age or younger?
" he then went on to tell us how exciting it would be to "lie down" with lions that eat straw instead of flesh, and further discussed jw kids napping with leopards, bears, and cattle.

really strange that I went , there was an, " anointed ", giving the sermon, familiar with him , studied with him , he's from etheopia . I don't think anyone repatrioted to the US is qualified to be one anyway, since they do have to swear obedience and recognize the US government as their ruling authority to come here . It was the usual magic trick of eating some motza and sipping some wine ,of which I left during just to beat the traffic jam on the way out . They do cherry pick scripture .Nothing personal but believe you have to reject all human authority to qualify . I even had sreaming baby behind me ,, yikes, but momma decides to take her out the room . No spanking ,, good momma ....

Crazy Religions
by Qcmbr ini was reading a good article regarding the relative 'craziness' of faiths (blog) and they mentioned a lot about mormons.
in short they talked about the socially accepted craziness (as opposed to actual mental illness) of mainstream , culturally accepted faiths v those that are relatively new.
we see scientology as more crazy than catholicism if we fall into the trap of judging without consideration but when examined all religions have very crazy elements.

I think that's what part of being a Jdub was all about , looking at religions in a critical way , In alot of cultures relion is forced on people , believe or die , the muslims are good with that and the catholics had a whale of a time with it back in the dark ages . Now if we can just get the ,"jews", to accept palestinians as equals we might end decades of conflict ... I had to agree tho that atheism is as dogmatic as any cult group but at least in the free world they aren't persecuting or enslaving anyone , there were countries that banned religion such as the USSR and china which would give them a bad name as well

I think there is some kind of network that there is some sort of heirachy tho it's meant to be a lower archy , the apostles were in charge of the first church and we can clearly see that JC uses the apotle John to commend or condemn the congregations , jesus tells peter to feed his sheep of course a job for all the apostles they were the only ones qualified having listened to the great teacher everyday for 3 yrs . THe apostle Paul went on about a system of overseers and to make sure they didn't cover the same areas but they are told not to lord it over those that were new converts or weak in faith . I think the problem with the WTBTS is they like to lord if over everyone with all sorts of rules , leaven of pharisees , they stifle free thought and independent thinking and turn their follwers into slaves of WT dogma . To get the ball roling however someone needed to do the research to find where the apostates changed things around , the bible was tampered with , beliefs were manipulated for political agenda .

I can still agree with them on some stuff tho they are reluctant to restate some of the prophesy's about the UN but I still think it's the scarlet beast and the babylonian whore is the RCC , once we see the rise of the lamb beast 666 , I think we are really close . They did screw up big time when agreeing to the terms of NGO since they too became worshippers of that beast but later it's the mark that will determine who get life and death . Note to larsinger = The UN has been involved in global control or rulership for quite some time .

Who is the faithful and discreet slave? Is a RHETORICAL question
by villagegirl inwhat brought me out of the wt , was one day it dawned on me, mathew 25:35,36 ..i was hungry and you gave me food;i was thirsty and you gave me drink;i was a stranger and you took me in, i was naked and you clothes me,i was sick and you visited me, i was in prison and you came to me.
i was being told this was some "symbolic action" we were supposed to take towards the wt version of the faithful and discreet slave.
and something inside me just said, "no it isn't" its real.

true , love thy neighbor as thy self is a commandment but I still think the meaning behind the good samaritan and the brothers being , hungry , naked and in prison is a different meaning to it, Like you quoted the ,anyone doing the will of the father is his brother sister and mother so it would stand to reason that the ones he consider special would be the center of the meaning . I think the good samaritan story was about ending the enmity the jews had against non jews .
