  Let's not forget though that on their official site they do post articles from the latest wt publications so you can't be too critical of the use of the web.To me it's just the fact that they don't want you thinking for yourself and cross referencing the material via the nasty apostate sites .Like this site for instance that has all the wt blunders for everyone to see is always taboo to the JW.THe watchtower is not infalible after all , ohhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  Why are you looking forward to 2005?

  anyone heard anyting of 2005?

  i've spoken to some witnesses here, who are really worried about 2005. they say it was pretty obvious at the last convention, that the world may end in 2005. because of 1975 and the fact that jesus was 30 years old, the last time he preached on earth... .

  what have i missed?

  Put me down as a skeptic on this one . As a Jw once told me, If God told us exatly when to expect the end then people would only behave just long enough to save their worthless hides . lol

  in the last few months, i have seen a huge increase in the amount of public jw sites.

  has the org.

  changed their policy on this type of internet connecting, or are their just more & more people ignoring the societies recommendations.

  someone posted the kingdom ministery news letters for this year and one of them said that the org. didn't want their flock to use the internet other than the official web site .

  What the hell was I thinking?

  have any of you ever had a moment your life you replay in your mind?

  over and over, and thwack your head against the wall saying "what the hell was i thinking?

  " or going along just fine, and then have something remind you of the time you were a total loser--and you blush uncontrollably (for no reason at all the outside world seems to think) and rush for the nearest brick wall to commence with the "what the hell was i thinking" battery?

  dumb versus ignorant

  after a person leaves the religion, they can say "why was i so dumb".

  dumb implies a lack of intelligence.

  however, there are many witnesses that are very intelligent.

  Although I never became a jw I can see that they can seem very sincere to the point of convincing people that they really want to be your friend .It becomes more and more obvious while associating with them that they seem to just want to find fault in everything .Ignorance does play a role at first but the more you keep just accepting everything they say as undisputed truth is when you become a blithering idiot.

  how did one of the "anointed" class know they that they were?

  Let's see here , SS says that the humans are no different then the animals and the wt teaches that we are not born with a spirit.My question is , with this kind of reasoning how could Gods spirit bear witness to the anointeds spirit ? There would be nothing to work with in that scenario.The bible says to worship in spirit and truth, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of the heavens. YADIRF - You keep insisting that the watchtower is wrong but are still the only true religion .They would not accept you as a minister if you keep that up .

  a nearby congregation announced that due to the society's winning the case in the supreme court concerning door to door work, territories that have not been worked in 2 years, will now be worked.

  publishers should no longer contact the local police dept.

  before they go in the field, no longer should they tell the police where they will be working or what cars they will be driving, including license plates.

  That's the first I've heard that the wt won a case involving the right to do door to door preaching work without liability.It probly boiled down to a bunch of lazy public officials who didn't want to do the paper work .
