  i know jw's are abusive psychologicaly to their members, however so are other churches.

  case in point, i knew a woman who would not marry b/c the pope said not to use birth control.

  she did not want children, and she could not find it within herself to go against the pope.

  I hear what you are saying .Religion is a snare and a racket just like rutherford said it was but also keep in mind what jesus said about where ever there are 2 people gathered together in my name so to shall I be there. Christianity is not the only messed up religion don't forget the muslim and hindus

  What are those British up to now? Public Autopsy?

  it was picked up here on the news that a german doctor defied authorities and performed a live autopsy on tv and in front of a crowd of people who had paid $19 each.

  Say didn't they show an autopsy on one of those faces of death videos ? I remember that being some pretty gruesome stuff being billed as entertainment.

  That's pretty creepy but you just can't see why a professional autopsy sould be banned from public eyes .I don't think I would care to sit through one myself though.

  have we been brain washed, when we studied with the jehovah witnesses?

  call it brainwash or mind control, have we been exposed to this kind of treatment?

  so many meetings a week, and so much reading to do, having no time to think for ourselves, and not realize what we were actually doing.

  Spanner have you looked into other possibilities? Exactly who you could talk to I'm not sure but there is bound to be another explaination. I remember watching alledged siting shows and one time people claimed to see something like you are talking about and the millitary said they were merely using flares and practicing for paratrooping at night.I just think of the histeria caused by the war of the worlds episode in the 50"s and how people over react .It would be just as interesting to find out what really happened.

   ;I agree with czarofmischief in one respect that the conflict is completely inane.I often hear it being referred to as when the americans took over land where the Indians lived.I think also this situation also has to do with religion .The palestinians want to worship in the dome on the rock while the Isrealies want to restore solomons temple.I just get tired of hearing about the huge expense to the american taxpayer in regards to funding the Isreali millitary and the nation building crap that really has nothing to do with the american way of life.The way I see it ,if the palestinians are allowed to form a state then more than likely it will only serve as a hideout for people like bin laden,and I think we are all familiar with the problems of Isreal being a state has caused in the region.It's a no win scenario .If they do send UN forces there they will have to disarm both sides .IMO
