Reject Worldly Fantasies, Pursue Kingdumb Realities?
by WTWizard inaccording to the feb 2009 kingdumb misery, this is the title of the new hounder-hounder talks for public talks starting march 1. now, i can only imagine worldly fantasies include having a family, a reasonable measure of health and security, and being able to live a decent life.
kingdumb reality means throwing your life away out in field circus, attending boasting sessions, dutifully studying washtowel publications every tuesday all evening, and dying stagnant and having produced zero value in your own life.

Being an elder was never really an office to reach out for but just the fact you were an "older man" was the qualification .I think the WTBTS is getting it's ,ehem, "new light" from the jwd boards as many on here have come to that conclusion ,overseer was the term used for the office . I have noticed at the local congs that some "elders" are in their 30's and 40's , I think it a bit young so can see articles coming out about respect for the position , they still do refer to themselves as elders even tho they are now overseers . Giving some of them respect is not so easy when you know they don't even respect your privacy by sneaking around trying to find reasons for a dfing comittee . I can even see one istance where an ,"anointed", crosses over the line of WTBTS dogma and adds his own to it as happened to me recently , I am studying with one and he does make up his own dogma , no mistaking it , they should maybe even counsel him on that . couldn't help being so curious as to what these professed "anointed" are about that I did start a bible study with one ...... momma mia . anyways it's been interesting peeps

Unbaptized , are you sure it isn't time to get baptized? If we are that close to the end then how about making a comitment? The whole point is to avoid being destroyed in Gods day of wrath not that people will get a second chance even tho they fail miserably at following the path that jesus made for all to walk . I still agree with some of what the tower says but get angry and frustrated with their menality of taking everything they say as undisputable truth . I believe they understood the call to flee babylon and gradually left behind many pagan beliefs and practices , I'm good with that and the refusal to accept evolution science as any part of religion . Now they did get involved with the UN even after all their talk of staying separate with the world and it is really sad how they refuse to tell the truth on why they did it .They are going to be tied to the wipping post on that one for a long time .Anyway , if you don't want to be buried in the poo poo of the WTBTS history then you might should find other places to post your opinions . Just a word to the wise there , nothing more .......

I don't get the skirting around the issue that God does condemn the rich when they write these articles they always make it sound like the rich can get away with their riches as long as they comply to the WTBTS in their form of worship . Jesus was very clear that the rich had no chance of inheriting the kingdom with the passage of, "easier to pass a camel through the eye of sewing needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of the heavens". He tells his little flock to sell all they own and give gifts of mercy to the poor . How else can he put the situation that the WTBTS can understand, being rich in itself is cause for being black listed in the kingdom of the heavens . They like to pervert the teachings to cater to the rich who want the best of both worlds ,it can't be done. The message is for the poor in order to give them the hope of salvation and eternal happiness despite the unfair play in this world .IMO

i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.
he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

my sympathies . I lost my dad this past year to cancer as well and he fought harder to live than anybody I"ve ever known , you have to just think that at least the suffering is over .

a couple of times they have referred to the visit of the wise men, i wonder what you guys make of this,it always seemed to me a strange thing to be in scripture,the visit of some devout presumably zoroastrian seers.
the wt take on this is that "satan used them to try to bring about the death of jesus".

This place sucks!!! (kidding there of course) I can say I've seen some very interesting posts ,don't know how much of this stuff to believe but if half of it is true the watchtower is very deceitful about things .I think I will hang out on the jwn site for a bit even tho I don't think any of this is really making a difference since the religion itself is growing exponentially , The real estate fraud corporation is building more congs and forcing people to pay mortgages when they still claim not for profit status , they don't trust the members enough to make contributions so they have them free and clear . It made me sick whenever the WTBTS announces it's big change of dropping the interest on the loans ........... That was just in the last couple of months. Everybody got all excited over that one ..

I gotta say the making up of dogma at any given time and then trying to convince others , had this happen to me allot lately , I'm always asking if the "society" says it or it's just an opinion and believe me some of the stuff is ridiculous ,I'm with you on the blood dogma ,Their reasoning doesn't hold water and it is senseless to let people die over it .I think dfing is alright in some cases such as promoting a sect or murder , makes sense to me ,if you are not walking the walk and just talking the talk you are a hypocrite and deserve to be cast out where the weeping and gnashing teeth , yadda yadda
