Nothing! Not even an invite to the Memorial. I did have a lady come to my door last night inviting me to an Easter Service though.

Memorial 1992 I am in the back room with a 7 month old child and pregnant along with a few other sisters in the same situation. The brother knocked on the door to hand us the bread and I said "no we are good, thank you" He got a little nervous and peeved and said it had to be passed around in the bathroom. I handed it around -kids were grabbing at it. It fell on the floor and I handed him back the empty basket and said Thank you.

How Wonderful
by dearone inan elder in my hall gave an experience of why it is so vital that we do not speak to disfellowshipped ones.
a sister who was disfellowshiped was of course not able to speak with her daughter or see her grandchildren.
it was difficult for the family to 'adhere to bible principles' but in time the mother/grandmother missed her family so much she returned to the truth.

It was explained to me recently that disfellowshipping is like time out for a naughty child (what great depth)

Why would a woman want to look like that?
by TD ini was leafing through a diet and exercisie magazine my wife subscribes to and noticed (not for the first time) that the female fitness models don't look like women at all.
--they look like anorexic teenaged boys with long hair.. skinny to the point of emaciation is not fit.
i would be willing to bet that not one of these models could even run a 10k.

My youngest daughter (17) is 90 pounds at 5 foot 3. She runs 6 miles every morning - works her upper body - is a strict Vegan. I would love to see her weigh more, however she is full of energy and endophins. Feels and looks great. Sure some men will find her a bit boney, but as long as she is healthy - that is all I care about.

What Do You Value in your Life Now that you Exited the Witnesses ?
by flipper ini was talking with a friend of mine on the board yesterday and the discussion gave me the idea for this thread !
( thanks friend !
) and it seems as we were talking the thought came up that many of us when exiting the mind control of jehovah's witnesses we really come to appreciate the freedom to think how we want and be able to have access to other views which helps us to have a broader scope , or broader world view than just the tunnel vision of the wt society.

Too many things to mention...However a big one to me is being able to buy dresses that do not come down to the middle of my calves.

"Never let school get in the way of a good education, nor marriage in the way of a good relationship."
Mark Twain would have loved that ......
Think about it: Not sure what I want him to commit to. I may be feeling a little desperate because my oldest daughter is leaving for Spain next month for her college sophomore year and my youngest is heading out of state to attend SCU. It will be the first time I am all alone (ever)

My dilemma…I have enjoyed a very fun and active dating life these last four years of freedom. Most dates end by me moving on (always another fish out there). Last fall I started dating someone I really like (as in I would like a commitment). However, he turns 50 in May (I am 44) and he has never been married, never had kids and has never even lived with anyone (absolutely not gay). He is the happiest person I have ever met. He comes over to my house every night to play Jeopardy; we usually spend weekends together at TGIF playing trivia. He comes with me to anything important pertaining to my girls. He claims he has never felt this way about any other woman before, but just cannot commit to anything other than having me as his best friend. I am crazy about him. My question is…. Has he just been alone too long to ever commit?????

Does anyone know any more about Bette and Dale? I found this transcript almost haunting (I absolutely loved it)
