  i'm having a field day with these changes - telling others not to attach themselves too much to the latest generation change because its probably going to change again in the next 2 years, commenting on how terrible the new songs are etc etc.... .

  anyway, thought it interesting that the gb is making sure the boys on the ground locally are supportive of the changes being made.

  here are notes from the 3rd discussion point in the wts scripted outline the co's was using at this meeting.. .

  from personal experience i know it usually happens at the end of a district convention.

  it would be either the do, co or an experienced elder.. they usually go through everything that was said throughout the dc and thank jehovah for this and that...... last year i used my stop watch to record the time taken by our do,.

  This is second hand, but I was told that at one DC Knorr was on stage for the closing prayer - The brother giving the prayer was so long winded that Knorr finally grabbed the mike and said AMEN.

  i am asking this based on sd-7's posts and am curious what you consider fair as far as house upkeep in the position you are in.. i was raised in the 60/70 decades from parents married in the 1950's so i seem to have a pretty old fashioned idea of what "housewife" means.. when i was working i had no tolerance for any slop habits, but since i'm home i don't require much.. so what are your ideals, how does your home operate?

  Restrangled this is a great thread....I love your lego story...

  As you know I work full time and do not have a lot of time for housework. I do not have to cook much anymore since the girls turned Vegan a few years back. The house gets to looking like someone picked it up and shook it good, however it is the highschool hang out place and the neighborhood animal restaurant, so why spend my time cleaning? I will do that another time in my life.

  i'm wondering how people feel about us exjws either becoming atheists or continuing on with a faith in god?.

  do you get angry or frustrated at the opposing view?.

  i'm new but i've seen different reactions to both on here...as for me i am happy to live and let live nowadays...its ok with me whatever people want to choose for themselves..... personally i still have enormous faith and love for god....if the jws couldnt destroy it i dont think much else could...?.

  Did you find JW's infecting others just so that they didn't miss a meeting?

  give you an example: there was a hoiler than thou, devout couple in my cong who had a son.

  the son aged about 5 had chicken pox, they took him to the meetings, never missing one so that he would learn that you did not miss a meeting!.

  the result was several of the infirm and eldery ones contracted either pox or associated illness like shingles.

  i thought it was horrible when they put a young single ms in a car with a bunch of single pioneer sisters once. all of the sudden, those poor sisters started getting sick in the morning and had to buy looser fitting dresses after a few months.

  ???????

  Memorial 2010 Your Experiences

  just got back from memorial.

  only went so that i could say to my parents that i had gone and to remind myself why i left.. oh my word!!!

  it was sooooo painful.. got there a bit late - it was a couple of minutes into the talk.

  I was invited to my neighborhood block party for hamburgers and beer. It was a tough call to make (Kingdom Hall with dull people who are not allowed to talk to me or Block party with lots of fun friends? hmmm.....) Party won.

  My daughters however went with their father (Their first meeting in 4 years). They had nothing to wear but mini skirts and prom dresses (mini skirts it was). I asked them how it was and they said there was no one between the ages of 10 and 50. They ran on and on in excitement about the adopted Ethiopian twin baby girls - wondered if I could adopt an Ethiopian baby. So it seems the night was a huge success

  when still in the watchtower, i used to be an assistant ministerial servant.

  true, there is no such title but its there unofficially for those one step to being a ministerial servant.
