A brother might look at us the wrong way
I loved those looks - most encouraging part of being a JW - gee I miss those days
i wasted my sunday yesterday attending the special a$$embly day.
i thought some of you might like to see some of the notes i took to keep myself amused/awake.. we had a guest speaker from the local old people's home bethel.
he seemed slightly senile.

1) when confronted with evidence of child molestation, doing the bare legal minimum is not enough morally.
2) a carefully honed and managed reputation can be destroyed literally overnight if immoral actions / inactions are brought to light.
3) no matter how "high up" someone is, he is still accountable for his actions / inactions, and will have to pay consequences for wrong choices.
Not at all James...Why do you ask?
thanks to our new car- a fiat 500 sport.

I may never have to buy another car again
Only because Armagedden will be here in a few months and we can take whatever cars we so desire.
just got the word that we have a third theocratic ministry school.
this will be in a part of the kh that has poor lighting.
i know that many will need the assistance of additional lighting.
No one in my old hall would be qualified. 8:00 P.M. on a weeknight without having a drink yet? Everyone usually had the (withdrawal) shakes by the time the back school started.

Princess - Give us more!! Would love to hear why JW are depressed. They have so much to be happy about! Aren't they the happiest people on earth?

Since the majority of child abuse cases in the Borg are "ALLEGED" nothing will ever change. Most of the elders see the situation as "the little bastards are making the story up"
a very reliable friend told me this: the bro was commenting on what was "unacceptable" conduct in the bedroom between married persons.
needless to say, he had everyone's attention.
he went on to say "we must avoid perversions such as oral and annual sex.
Too many to relate, so may I comment on the stupidist thing I heard this weekend?
I was visiting my hardcore parents Saturday, when the conversation started to get a little heated. The generation change came up. I handed my father his Bible and asked him to show me where the overlapping generation scripture is. My mother blurted out - "It's not in the Bible, it is in the Watchtower. Neil, go get the Watchtower and read it to Beth."
first, i don't know if we have had a thread on this yet - so if this is a repost, ignore appropriately.. but i am thoroughly disgusted by this developing scandal - an assistant coach at pen state is accused of multiple, repeated, child sexual offenses.
a member of the football staff exewitnesses and incident reported it to paterno (years ago, it is reported) - and paterno reported it to the athletic director.
nothing was done, nothing was reported to the authorities.. finally, the scandal broke over the weekend.. i am deeply dissapointed with paterno - this guy was one of my football heros.
LeavingWt..Excellent article! It just makes you wonder why common sense is so
unbelievably difficult.
a few years ago my 21 yr old firstborn and only son died in an accident.
i was an active jw at the time.
in fact , i was at the meeting when it happened.
BizzyBee..
The best thing to say is just, "I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through" (because no one can).
So sorry for your loss Bee. To lose a child is absolutely incomprehensable - not to be compared with any other type of loss.
The greastest thing said to me during my (violent) pain was - "You will never get over this, but you will get through it" (words of wisdom)
