SIAM... very profound!
I would have done anything to be married to one of the elders you mention above. As an elder's wife I witnessed the incredible hypocrysy of my husband. It was hard to be the one to walk away...
i have talked to quite a few brothers who have served as elders and servants and left the organization.
in most cases their wives have remained in despite the husbands best efforts to persuade his wife that the organization is wrong.
even though the wife can see problems within they continue to press on in service to the society.

how much money would you commit to the apostate cause?
i think 10 million is fair....that is a lot of billboards and full time employees.
.
Diest...You would first be reprimanded for buying a lottery ticket instead of putting that dollar in the contribution box.
i just wanted to get a general consensus of what are the motivations to attend an ex-jw meet up.
if you've already attended one before, what motivated you the first time or each successive time?
if you've never attended an ex-jw meet up before what do you think could motivate you to attend one?.
Wha Happened (??) It was love at first sight for you, your wife, Palmtree and Oompa!!

I love meeting up with ex-JW's! A lot of my local friends are x's. In addition to them I have met six people on this forum - love them all. What is amazing is how intelligent everyone of them has been.
found in the sunday newspaper supplement, parade, march 25, 2012, is an article, "what will sandra lee think of next?
" see page 10 of the parade magazine.
in the article it states:.
"her mother-twice divorced, mentally unstable, and addicted to prescription drugs-was unable to cope. Food stamps and welfare payments weren't enough to keep the pantry stocked"
Sounds like the perfect candidate for becoming a JW
i've been considering it for awhile strictly for just general overall health.
i don't take any meds, and would like to keep it that way for as long as i can.
i am a "all things in moderation " type of person but the more i read about excluding dairy and meat, the more i think about doing it.
I just made the leap about a month ago. My daughters have been vegans for about 5 years and are the picture of health and vitality. At 46 years old and no perfect paradise around the corner, I feel the clock ticking on my body. I am not ready yet for prescriptions and doctor visits; so I felt this was definitely worth a try. I go to Whole Foods every morning and pick up my food for the day. I am fanatical about my vitamins (We absolutely need to take B-12). I always said I could never live without cheese and red meat, but somehow have managed thus far. I feel fantastic!
Two books that inspired me....The SELF HEALTH Revolution (though not really a vegan book) and Skinny Bitch (don't let the title scare you)
i am happy to say that andre, my relative,.
serves at the east timor office of jehovah's.
witnesses..
IsaacJ22..."ever wonder why they keep designating places for meetings on the other side of crocodile infested waters?"
This should be a Question from the Readers to the GB
if you weren't raised in the religion, why did you get involved?.
what issue(s) keep some from ever being attracted to the witnesses?.
What Keeps Some Far Away??
As my best friend says to my father everytime he starts preaching....
"I'm a grown assed man. You do not need to tell me how to think"
we were taught that this is detrimental and would only end in doom and gloom...is it true??.
are you happy or know someone who is??
do you regret it?.
I think the real question to this thread should be...
Has ANYONE married a JW and been happy?
lets's go!!.
