As if the males in the hall did not brown nose the CO already. These CO's are going to become like the pope, people will be kissing his arse in hopes of that "special blessing" i.e. "Please make me an elder" or "Please do not delete me as an elder". The green handshakes should be much more substantial also.

FDS = only GB. FDS does not include all the annointed.
My personal favorite is that we cannot wear tight pants. I have to say that after my big pasta dinner last night my zipper on my jeans today is about to blow, which means only one thing.....I must be a lesbian. I do not know how to tell the people in my life, especially that man that is in my bed at night.

Where were you? / How old were you?... during the Ray Franz witch trial?
by Zoos ini was 13yo and largely clueless to what was going on.
i think i remember hearing something about an apostate being weeded out of bethel but really couldn't have cared less.
i didn't start getting zealous until a couple of years later.. .

I was 15 and my oldest brother was at Bethel at the time. Our family was just horrified by what was happening. My mother and father would simply shake their heads and say the following....."We must be so close to end"

Why do I bother to wake up in the morning?
by punkofnice ini'm not suicidal just fed up.. i did think of suicide (briefly), but as there is no painless way and it's not something i would willingly do just in case things would have been better the day after.
i do have a slight grain of hope.. money problems.....problems at home (that's another matter with a son up court for something he is adamant he didn't do.
first offence but the pigs police and the cps have got charges made.

Oh Punk...You are such a cool guy. You make me laugh all the time. I am so sorry you are feeling the blues, so happy it is not the reds though. Remember what Holly Golightly said about the reds in Breakfast at Tiffany's?

Did not show up for my numerous committee meetings that they kept trying to bate me to. They got tired of sitting in the back room waiting for me and finally DFed me in 2006.

One poster said on another thread that there are three types of witnesses. 1. Those raised in 2. those who have had something traumatic or life changing in their lives causing them to search for reason 3. And then those who are just bat-s*** crazy

I like the elder letter that stated that sisters cannot help bind their husbands elder book.

What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?
by DuvanMuvan ini was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.

Went on vacation during the CO visit. My husband and I were both pioneers and he was an elder. Many in the hall gasped at that one. Such brazen behavior!

What about Don or Joel Adams? Or are they too old? Hell, they may be dead for all I know.

Will firing the DOs be the first step to a new Watchtower?
by Juan Viejo2 inagainst my better judgement, i've decided to share the following as a response to guy pierce passing and the announcement of the elimination of district overseers later this year.. late in january (2014) i got an email from one of my contacts (a fader) who served at bethel for several years, but is no longer at wt hq.
he still has a lot of close contacts within the service department and in other departments at patterson and knows people in all of the ny offices.
i kept this email set aside on a flash drive and haven't shared it with anyone - figuring i'd publish an article about it later this year when i had more time to do it right.

ONTHEWAYOUT....Expanding the GB is long overdue. But I wouldn't be surprised if the rumor is deliberately leaked so that all those D.O.'s and Bethel helpers do some serious ass-kissing until the number is filled. If the GB is going to pick people that are loyal "non-partakers" and simply tell them that holy spirit has determined they are anointed, I would say that is a heavy sign that they are definitely hand-picking by some kind of loyalty/ass-kissing test.
LOSTGENERATION...... Sending the old DOs out to the desert with a trailer to die??? Wow, just wow.
I could not agree with the above statements more.
Many Thanks Juan for posting this
