Why Do Some Ex-JWs Get Their Feelings Hurt So Badly By Shunning?
by RottenRiley ini ran in to a ex-jw and had a good laugh once he realized i was not going to shun him.
i am a different soul when we are dealing with watchtower demonology, everything about the organization is fan boy based.
watchtower creates the illusion of a community that never existed, we were too blind to realize most of the people we invested time with was nothing more than a farce, once you can't offer up more sacrfices on the watchtower's alter, your going to get less attention and eventually if your kingdom hall is big enough, they won't come looking for you.. .

by ThunderStruck52 inso i have decided to jump in and for the first time and share some of my random memories that seem to have been floating around my mind more and more lately.
mostly if all the weird anxiety i experience from time to time is related to it.

Billy's Comments You Won't Hear at the 01-19-2014 WT Study (7 Shepherds, 8 Dukes)
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite in16-20. we shall also have to raise up against him seven shepherds, yes, eight dukes of mankind.mic.
what is the most important thing that you can do now to prepare for any future attack on gods people?.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. .

What is the Whore of Babylon up to these days?
by rebel8 inwhen i left decades ago, she was like 76 years old, smoking crack and wearing way too much makeup for her age.. the rumor was the wts was sending the flock messages about the closeness of the big a based on how old the whore looked.. by now she ought to be like 95. she probably lives in a rest home and can't crawl up on the beast anymore because of her arthritis.
she just rides her hoveround now.. she's probably annoying her roommates with repetitive stories of the good old days when she used to ride the wild beast and it would do her bidding.. i imagine she tells this story about every 15 minutes, forgetting what she said earlier because of dementia..

This photo woke me up
by krejames in.
i was already on my way to my second fade when i went to the wildlife photographer of the year 2012 exhibition, but this photo made me lose faith in the idea of a loving creator......(the gazelle has been injured by the mother cheetah so she can use it to train her cubs to hunt).

Although this picture is very difficult to look at it is the only way the cat kingdom can survive. cats have to have meat to stay alive and that includes even the house cat. I read recently that cats only kill enough to survive, they do not kill something for sport nor do they leave it half eaten. My 3 cats are ferocious hunters and they eat everything they kill from rats to rabbits to snakes, birds, gophers etc.(Yes, I had to get a mention in about my felines - sorry)

This site has been going for 13 years. Did you ever at one point fear armageddon?
by ILoveTTATT ini am just wondering about all of you who have been on this site for long.
in all of the events that have happened since 2000 (for example, september 11th), have you at any point, even you die-hard apostates, felt like "oooh sh!t... i should go back to the kh"... just to have the world survive the latest disaster?.
what was the worst event for you, in terms of saying... "did i mess up???

I walked away from the religion and my 20 year marriage in the summer of 2006. It is going on 8 years and I can honestly say once for about 3 minutes I had a slight regret. I had always been a stay at home mom. In my forties I had to start working for the first time in my life. I had two young teenage daughters with no support from the ex and I was struggling financially to survive. My Awake and Watchtower degree didn't do much in the work place. I was driving to work thinking "Should I have stuck it out? I actually think it was more like one minute. Other than that lapse in judgement it was the smartest thing I could ever do for my girls and myself.

Too Funny. I liked this review.......What you do is set them out anonymously in a bowl in the middle of the snack room. Then no one knows who is responsible. It's even better if you put a sign on them (printed out so no one can trace handwriting) say, "Private stash. Please do not eat." That way they have no one to blame but themselves. And they will be too embarrassed to admit to their co-workers what happened, providing no warning to others.

It always amazes me that there are so few threads on JWN about sports. Is it because we weren't allowed to participate in school? We live and breathe sports in my home, but that is because I live with a sportsaholic.
Oh and BTW GO BRONCOS (I think it will come down to the Seahawks and my Broncos)

There is a brother in my parents hall that has luekemia. He received a blood transfusion and was privately reproved. Then he received another one and the elders disfellowshipped him. As if he didn't have enough on his plate already.
