glad you mention this, i was going to start a thread with a topic on near death or out of body experiences.
LT has a point.
Sometimes people only believe what is physical, or solid. You just cant deny that there have been many people with similar experiences. How can so many people dream the same thing, or know things that they otherwise wouldnt have, while they are unconscious, or flatlined?
i know of a few people that have expressed themselves over the years regarding suicide and their loss of joy in living.
after reading some of the horrendous things some have gone through on this board, it is more than concievable to believe that you might have considered such options.
i, personally have never had these thoughts, but some close to me have expressed that if they "could just sleep" in death, they would feel better.
When I was younger, in my teens mostly.
I remember not wanting to exist, just end it ya' know? I understand now that I was only seeing the situation that I was currently in. I was only seeing the present and thinking that it was all there was to my life. I wasnt even considering the fact that I could take control and change my life for the better.
I watched my mom suffer, but learned from her mistakes. I began making better choices, being more careful who I trusted and allowed myself to be alone with, went back to school, worked really hard and I finally have a job where I actually enjoy getting up in the morning.
Most of all, if I had been successful with ending my life, I wouldnt have known what it was like to have and love these two cuties. They keep me going as I want them everything, feel safe and have all the love and stability that I didnt know growing up.

I have always been interested in this topic. Im not sure what to believe, but I think anythings possible. I was alone in the room with with my aunt while she was dying and she was speaking to someone, but I didnt recognize the name. It wierded me out a little so I mentioned it to my JW aunt and she replied, "Oh she must have been confused from lack of oxygene, that women has been dead for years."
People will argue, but I believe there could definatly be some type of existance after death.
i need someplace to vent, so excuse me but i am very angry at the moment.
as most of you know, my father in law committed suicide last sunday (the 16th).
his death hit nina hard, but i've discovered this week that my sweet little kitten of a wife has the heart of a lion.

What in the world is wrong with some people?
My JW grandfathers funeral was sort of a parade. I wish the witnesses werent even a part of it. They hardly mentioned him, or his personality and used the service as an excuse to witness to the "worldly" ones present.
So we all sat and listened numbly to the speaker give us a "good witness" and briefly mention how my grandfather was "so brave" as "he died faithful by refusing the tranfusion" as we stared at my grandfather, laying in his coffin with a copy of the Watchtower neatly placed in his jacket, for everyone to see.
I will never understand how so many witnesses can be so damn insensitive by putting an organization before all human compassion.

remember how those meetings went on and on and on and then you get that brother who loves to turn his prayer into the "sermon on the podium".

Im sorry I cant give you any advice since I have never gone through this myself. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must be for someone to be checking up on you in your own home.

God, this is just so sad. You letter is very moving. I agree with LB, if I recieved this letter from my child, I would want to die. I would feel awful for not having been there when my child needed me.
I think it is probably very good for you to express your feelings. You are so strong and I admire that. I may seem that way at times, but I tend to shy away and ignore certain issues from my past.
I hope someday your father can understand how his actions affected you. You deserve closure and happiness.

Awwww, dont be bored.
You dont need t.v., we can be psychotic if ya' want us to.
Maybe its slow because many are still getting used to the new system, I know Im moving a little slower than usual here.
