This year they have to travel to Kamlopps BC again!!. This is ridiculous! Many JWS I know are mad as hornets over this. It cost 500 dollars minimum for a single dub to make that trip (food, hotel, gas) . It costs Jdub families anywhere from 1000 to 2000 dollars to hear a bunch of stooges put down technology and how they must follow the slave even if it means sacrificing money they don't have (credit cards to the rescue uhuh)

I can't believe how some old geezers in New York can control the lives of 7 million dubs. There are approx 100,000 dubs that will have to travel to Kamloops this year costing them millions. I'm soooo glad I got out in 1985!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHaaaa......

a newly published article by british sociologist david voas argues jehovah's witnesses may be about to experience a collapse in numbers.

contrary to claims by american sociologist rodney stark who predicts strong future growth for jehovah's witnesses, voas shows that jehovah's witnesses' efforts at recruiting new members have become increasingly unsuccessful over the past few decades: the rate of increase has steadily declined, and the number of hours each publisher must preach to produce an extra convert has gone up substantially.

voas suggests a reason for the stagnation may be that there is a natural limit to the number of people in a given population that are susceptible to conversion to sectarian groups like jehovah's witnesses - the 'carrying capacity' of the population, and that the limit has largely been reached.

That is true, but it could be safely said that 75% of the org has already fallen because 9 out of 10 JWs can't explain their own doctrines (because they are in total denial)

You only have to go back to 1925/26 when the WTS organization lost 75% of it's flock. (Ask Blondie about that) There was explosive growth prior to 1925 because of Rutherfrauds 1925 end of world prediction. This rapid growth was almost entirely due to converts (99.9%) and not due to born-ins. After 1925 there was a huge implosion in numbers and in one year almost all the flock was wiped out. Frederick Franz made every attempt tp hide that fact. The numbers show that 'converts' can change their mind in a hurry (after all - religion exists only in the mind) On the other hand born-ins are much more resilient to the effects of propaganda.

Taking the above example of the 1925 time period, we see that prior to 1925, Rutherford's propaganda was sensational and after 1925 the propaganda became destructive. Apparently the propaganda was far more destructive than it was sensational.

Today the organization is a mix of born-ins and converts. As soon as the proganda becomes destructive expect a sharp decline in the number of converts ( in the org) . Already it seems that the number of Jws leaving the organization is far exceeding the number of converts coming in. There could be a tipping point where the perceived doctrines become poisonous or destructive. That effect seems to have started.

i mean you probably have the connections but can't post these names because of a betrayal of trust even though you might be regarded as super apostate in the bethell circle of friends.

i was a witness for the first 25 years of my life and i always thought that the wt mags were written by the fds.

I was a witness for the first 25 years of my life and I always thought that the WT mags were written by the FDS. Now I find these mags are written by non-annointed persons who wish to remain anonymous in order to portray the FDS as the actual author when in fact the WT writers are ghost writing for the FDS!!! If JWs really knew that the WT mags were written by average blokes then maybe we would see more leave.

we all know that the watchtower bible and tract societies corporations pay no property tax or income taxes on donations from the kingdom halls.. yet they condemn other corporations for being tax evaders .

look at this rubbish from their own web site.

most brothers are shocked when i tell them chess is banned because it's un-wholesome!.

awake 1973 3/22 p.12 ..."the spirit of competition between players can lead to unpleasant circumstances...most families manage to keep the conflicts that arise in a game to the chess board.

but, in some homes tensions linger long past "checkmate.

I have just had a WHOO HOO moment - a pattern in WT lies TIMING in mags

april 1st, may 15th and sometimes september.. the number of huge doctrinal bombs, or manipulative deceits that have been printed regularly in those editions is incredible.. if i had the cd still i want to target those magazines to see what they put across.. the pattern is so regular it is monotonous.

i only realised this today as i was looking up some older threads, and realised how often these months come up.. of course when they want to slip something past craftily, they prolly use a feb or nov witchtower.. anybody able to confirm??.

do april 1, or may 15 have any special secret "pagan " or other associations??.

You are not alone. The APril 1st 2009 public wack has that cultic triangle (worn by a pharisee) which is the exact same pic from the july 15 07 wack. The triangle reappeared exactly 6 months later in the Jan 15 08 koolaid wack. So logically .......

Note the triangle is the same one as found in the live forever book where the thief is running from the police. The triangle can be seen dangling from his loot bag- a cultic visual cue displayed right front and center.
