I wrote them and the CO a letter saying I wouldn't be attending any secret meetings behind closed doors. If they had something to tell me or ask me I wanted it in writing and at least a week in advance for the purpose of giving the reading enough time for me to research the question and provide a thought out answer. Whenever approached I reminded them that I wanted it all in writing and not through coercive and intimidating lectures. The CO was pissed won't even say hi or look in my direction. The PO gave a local needs against me. But so far nothing in writing. Other elders treat me like always and I know three of them are actually giddy with glee that I'm telling the CO and PO to back off the private counsel and put everything in writing... The deal is that the WT Society's instructions explicitly warn elders not to put things in writing. It's a Catch-22 in your favor if you don't have something serious they can hold against you.

Virtual Kingdom Hall Super-secret Password
by Shepherd Book inso i want to sign up for the virtual kingdom hall here: http://thekingdomhall.ning.com/, which i guess is a clean and safe place for brothers and sisters to join.
problem is, in order to be in approved association there, i need to know the first song listed in the july kingdom ministry for the meeting beginning the week of july 28. .
the site says only jws know this, so i was hoping one of you loyal brothers or sisters could help me out..

The super secret pin number at one congregation we visited for unassigned territory was "8318" as in "Psalm 83:18". There were a group of other commonly used scriptures and they'd recycle them every few months.

A few questions for all you experts from my long JW meeting yesterday
by AuntBee inhere are a few things that were said that seemed kind of dubious to me.
(i had a meeting with 2 women that came to the door - full story in the thread "i received the knock...").
they baptize in the name of the father, son and holy spirit.

Isaacs answers are all good. I would like to add that there are some JW who haven't really given much thought about these issues and who, eventhough baptized and active in service still carry over beliefs and feelings from their former religious experience. I know a ministerial servant who says "God Bless you", he's seventy something and forgets that we're not supposed to bless people like that.
Some of the old timers have a hard time accepting the new teachings and new lights from the WT studies. Even if they go through the paragraphs it doesn't seem to sink in. Nor really that they want to be difficult and stick in the mud, it's just that change doesn't come easy.
I truly believe that a lot of JWD forum members are more aware of deep teachings and latest revelations from the Governing Body than the majority of JWs... there are always inactive ones who barely keep informed, there are those who come because it's a habit and they're older now and couldn't dream of changing. There are those too young to know any better. There are those too distracted by the system to really pay attention... How many deep thinking and fully studied and prepared Witnesses are actually sitting through the meeting taking it all in and actively listening? Well, it's been my experience that the number is probably less than half, if that.
So when it comes to teachings and what the GB has published a lot of JWs are just not "with it".

why he is "so utterly reviled" on this forum, exactly... i.e.
he slams the borganization but counsels one should stick with
it. And he maligns someone who left it for reasons of conscience.
Sounds to me like he can slam the borganization all he wants but
nobody, not nobody not no how, better say anything against it.
It really makes little sense to me, but that's just me and
you have your right to think otherwise, of course. With best regards still.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I too have lost a parent and it is a difficult time to go through.
If you've been working on fading, it's probably a good thing only one person called you... that means it's working.
If it weren't for my wife's dedication to always read the obituaries every day in the paper I wouldn't know whose relative of who has passed away. I'm not in the Kingdom Hall rumor mill for those types of things anymore.
As social beings that we are we need other people through life to share experiences with, don't we? I'm glad to have found this forum and others too where people can understand my experiences with the WTS. I'm sure you do too. It's good to have folks here express themselves with thoughts similar to one's own, knowing we understand.
Again I'm sorry to know you're going through this in your life. And I offer you my condolences and assurance that you are understood and your thoughts are appreciated. It is definitely tough. Rely on those who offer comfort, don't worry about the rest for the time being. Keep doing what you feel is the right thing to do. I hope this helps.
With sincere sorrow and a hug of understanding.

e-Watchman, Robert King has a new jazzy site with lots of heavy bandwidth flashy pages.
He says in his podcast that the reason for disappearing for 3 months was he moved twice,
moved abroad. He's recording his latest podcast from a Hotel room. Lost his computer
and got an apple laptop.
Then in his podcast he starts responding about a critical message he received complaining
that he was coming down on Ray Franz. He goes on to say that there's no taking back what
he said but that Ray Franz has never done anything for him. He's still raggin' on the
poor man. Then he goes on to give elderly counsel to people that seek his godfatherly
advice, saying "Stick with the program", he wants people to not leave WT but that he
declares judgment against the WT. That Jehovah does have an organization.
It's kind of creepy, for my taste, at least. But if you want to listen to the podcast
go to:

what do you think about greg stafford?
by hamilcarr init seems greg stafford has disassociated himself from the watchtower society?.
do you think his new attempt to reform the society - he claims that 'christian witnesses of jah' are jehovah's witnesses - stands a chance to spur on changes or is he just 'forging' another split group that will fade out quickly?.

Greg has launched a redesigned web page at
His third edition of Jehovah's Witnesses Defended
is due to be published in October 2008.
Has anyone heard of developments in his
standing with the WT. Is he in or out?

TRY: http://www.watch-movies.net/
Sorry about the link... I'm using Chrome and it doesn't
get along well with JWD forum message editing software.
It has some movie viewer feedback on each movie and always
links to very recent if elusive links to movies throughout
the internet.
