  Do you still Pray?

  since i stopped being a jw i haven't prayed.

  so the other day i went to supper at my parent's house who are still jw's, and they prayed before we ate.

  it was a very strange feeling, and it stirred up alot of weird feelings.

  I have been disfellowshiped for a long time and didn't pray.........I never felt any connection to "God" either even as a witness.

  Lately I have come to the conclusion that I do believe there is something higher out there. Now whether you call it God, Budda, etc doesnt really matter. I dont go to church or anything like that, and never will......but I kinda just talk through things.....and if I am talking to myself or if there is something out there listening doesnt matter. It is just something I do to clear my head.

  I dont worry myself of having to worship something......I just live my life the best I can and then when I die......well I will find out what is "on the other side".

  When it comes to praying......I think it is a personal decision......instead of required.

  Just my thoughts,

  My daughter has a brain tumor :(

  i am so terrified!.

  #2 daughter came home from college on 12/18 with a violent headache, nausea, neck pain and great fatigue.

  we took her to the dr. on the 20 and again on the 21st as she had kept nothing down for 3 days.

  Nudity and Jehovah's witnesses

  did anyone watch "the nanny reunion show" on monday night?.

  it was hilarious.

  i watched that show quite a bit when it was on, but totally missed this one that they talked about and showed clips from.. it seems fran's mother, played by renee taylor (pretty heavy middle aged woman), was having problems with her husband not being romantic with her.

  Playing Dumb

  i had this bizarre urge the other day to walk into a kh (i am df-d by the way) and play dumb .

  not tell anyone that i ever had any affiliation with the witnesses and lead them all on.

  oh, to see the looks on the faces of some when they came to find out they were associating with a df-ed person (gasp).

  I moved to a different city and thought of doing that myself (I have a KH right behind where I live), but I got over it too after I put the beer down.......LOL.

  Was nice to chat for the short time that we did and hope I can chat with you again.

  What would you do?,,,,need advice

  many of you know that since i am d/a, i have'nt spoken to my jw dad in about 3 years.

  well, he is trying to make contact with me, he and my sister had lunch the other day.

  he said he has been trying to get in touch with us for about 6 months.

  My dad and I are not close either..........it has been a while since I have spoke to him....but I keep him at a safe distance.........a distance that I feel safe at.

  Hey guys!!!

  Sorry I havent been around for a while.......lots of changes in my life in this last year or so.

  To answer or put to rest any ?'s about the marriage issue.........lets just say we both moved on in different directions and leave it at that.

  The rumor of me living in Austin is true. I am still in Austin and am very happy with the direction my life is taking me right now. School is within my grasp and I am very excited about it.

  I havent been online for a while........but I think we all need a break every once in a while. It also wasnt as easy for me to be online since I dont have a computer yet.

  Just thought I would drop in and say hello and I should be returning to JWD soon.......but not like I was before. Mainly to keep up with current events.....friends......and to help out when I can.

  Love you all and hi to all those I dont know yet.

  See you all soon.........if you reply and I dont.......dont think I am ignoring anyone.....just might not be on the computer anymore........I will try to check the responces as soon as I can.

  Went To The Quick Build

  i just returned from the building site of the new kh.

  i had never seen a quick build.

  it kind of made me sad, i saw so many old friends that i used to know.

  When I was still "in" I went with my father on several quick builds. Since my dad worked in constuction back then he was always asked to attend the builds.

  I used to have such pride in those builds, seeing so many ppl coming together for a common cause, and to accomplish so much in such a short time.

  Now....I view them as just another KH to destory someone's life. It is sad to see ppl you used to know from a long time ago and know they dont have a clue.

  All you can do is live your life best you can and know you are finally truely free.

  you better make sure you bury them really deep cause my dog will find it and bring it home.

  i have a 10mth old bloodhound and you would not believe the dead stuff she has brought me.

  in the past 3wks i have had skin's , skulls , leg bone's and i have no idea what yesterdays was.
