Why I'm Happy Ted Jaracz {governing body} is dying! Comments?
by Witness 007 inhe was responsible for the child abuse mess and voted on the blood, organ transplant, nuetrality issues which killed many faithful witnesses and left others with serious mental problems.
he was from all accounts rude, arrogant and i believe he would have sacrificed witness children an an altar if he thought it would help the "mother" organisation as he called it.
he is the ultimate brainwashed freak who would step on brothers knecks just to make sure things are "theocratic.

Circuit Overseers are under pressure to produce - My experience
by BonaFide inso we have all seen the yearbook or the wt with the yearly statistics.. when i became a c.o., at my first meeting with the other c.o.
's at the branch, i was handed a piece of paper with statistics on it for that past year, both of the circuit i was assigned to serve, and the total stats in the country.. here are the stats that the branch keeps track of:.
publishers, congregations, bible studies, baptized, memorial attendance, pioneers, aux pios, etc.

Furthermore, we were told that a low level of contributions could signal concealed wrong-doing; the 'theory' is that if someone is doing something bad, and it doesn't come to light and the congregation is not 'cleansed', Congregation starts to lose influence of the Holy Spirit and bros and sis are not compelled to contribute.
Yeah, like if a man was secretly abusing children he might feel less compelled to put money in the box.
Oh, wait. I'm confused.
What I meant was, if a man was secretly covering over the abuse of children by other men. He might feel less compelled to put money in the box.
No, that's not it.
Wait.
Ok, got it. A man found out that organisation was secretly covering over the abuse of children by other men within the organisation. He would probably avoid putting money in the box.

I'm serious, expect much singing about edification from the Governing Body and how they're counted worthy to be;
- given (lots) of honour
- respected
- praised
- thanked
- blessed
- followed
- obeyed
They might manage to stop short of suggesting the Governing Body should be worshiped, but it's just a case of joining the dots.
Do you think the lyrics will have weird back-tracking? You read groups of words in the new song book backwards it spells out things like "Decide to regular pioneer" or, "Oh Governing Body, my sweet lord Governing Body?"

Have you ever lost weight unexpectedly?
by compound complex indear friends,.
i have.. i was out of town doing three days of hard physical labor at 7000 feet, in the blazing sun.
five pounds lost may not seem much, but i sure can't seem to lose it by diet alone.

I lost 28lbs in six months a decade ago due to eating less and moving about (a lot) more.
I wish I could replicate that in 2009...

C'mon dude, how does a thread like this help you? How does help anyone doubting JW who happens to have a peak at the forum?
Jaracz isn't a great guy, many of us will concede that, but being happy about his alleged dying isn't healthy.

The big 3 from the late 1800's
by Gregor inthe latter day saints have their own state for crying out loud.
they also established one of the most prestigous universities in the country, byu.. the seventh day adventists operate the best teaching hospitals in the world and crank out world class doctors.. the jehovah's witnesses are best known through being the butt of jokes in comedy skits.
they are at present scrambling to get their financial act together..

Just wanted to resurrect this as I think Gregor makes a valid point.

I feel like my JW past was lived by someone else
by truthseeker init's been almost a year since i became inactive.
i had the initial "we miss you and please come back to the meetings" phase and then slowly, very slowly it became a trickle and then nothing.. i attended the memorial for the last time and silently said to myself, this is it, it's really over.. going to the memorial was really confirmation for me that there is no real love among the witnesses and that most are just acting a part they have played thousands of times over.. i was already missing meetings when i became inactive, but now a year has gone by, i feel completely detatched from the old life i used to lead and it feels that someone else lived that life.
i must be healing and getting better.. i'm sorry if this upsets any of you who are still in and forced by circumstance to keep going.

I agree with your sentiments; I feel that same. I believe, for me at least, it's important to remember the journey, remember what the life was like, and draw on that to continue to pray for those who are still 'in'.
It's almost a year since I 'woke up' to the truth about "the truth". It's been a fantastically life changing experience. But I always try to remind myself - not all the time, btw - what I've been able to leave behind.
I particularly agree with this;
"I truly believe that the organization is on the verge of change, but not for the better. There does seem to be a consciousness, perhaps an ill feeling that something, somewhere is very wrong."
The fist is tightening. The fear is rising. The paranoia is palpable. Those who claim the WTS isn't changing and won't change, please open your eyes! The friends and family we've left behind are soon going to be even more tightly locked into the WTS compound. The Governing Body knows about all of us who've left, they know our reasons for leaving, they know about all of the malcontents who're now taking the emblems and claiming to be anointed. And they need to do something about it. The Governing Body does not have a history of easing up on the R&F. Rather, their modus operandi is lock the doors and slaughter the young.
