"It's odd the way thay state in paragraph 3: "Jehovah was pleased to do this because Jesus had kept perfect integrity under severe tests. Jesus thereby provided his Father with the best, yes the complete, answer to Satan's lie that humans serve God with selfish motives and not out of unbreakable love." Really? If Jesus provided the best, complete answer, why are dubs expected to continue providing "weak, imperfect answers" today, nearly 2000 years later? If the super-vital question was really answered, why didn't the end come right at that time?"
There's a lot of truth in this and you hit the nail on the head.
Jesus had no sin but was made to be sin so that we could become the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21). In other words, Jesus lived the life we can't live and died the death our sin condemns us to. That's it; done deal, end of story.
It's because of Jesus doing this that Paul wrote the following in Romans 8;
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.*
Because Jesus did keep perfect integrity, those who believe in him (Romans 8:1,2) are no longer condemned and are justified through their faith and declared righteous before God.
In other words, there is absolutely nothing any of us can do to earn this.
Ephesians 2: 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU , it is God’s gift . 9 No, it is not owing to works , in order that no man should have ground for boasting.
The fact that all of these scriptures are missing from today's study just shows how far removed from the true Gospel the Witnesses are.
*Quite why the Governing Body saw fit to 'inspire' a book entitled "Keep Yourself in God's Love", as if somehow a Christian can find himself outside of God's love, is puzzling...

Spanish JW's Upset Over Bethel Move
by Gary1914 inon april 1, 2009 a letter was sent from the governing body of jehovahs witnesses to congregations in spain informing them that the printing, shipping, and storage of watchtower publications would be discontinued at the madrid branch office.
the letter expressed confidence that the spanish witnesses would, despite the move, continue to generously support the world wide work and ends with an appeal to remain united under the direction of the witness leadership.. at a glance, this story may seem like a non-issue, perhaps, just another example of reorganization and consolidation within a multinational corporation; however, the dissolution of the printing branch has caused considerable hard feelings among some of jehovahs witnesses in spain.
to understand the reason we must first look at the history behind the branch office and external factors that some feel prompted this abrupt move.. early in their history, jehovahs witnesses began printing their trademark watchtower magazines and associated books and tracts in-house at their bethel headquarters in brooklyn, new york.

Wikipedia Bans Scientology from Editing their site..
by sammielee24 inwikipedia has banned the church of scientology and its members from editing its site after discovering that members of the church were editing articles in order to give the church favorable coverage.the move is being hailed as "an unprecedented effort to crack down on self-serving edits," and it is the first instance in which wikipedia has banned a group as large as the church of scientology.. the register reports:.
according to evidence turned up by admins in this long-running wikiland court case, multiple editors have been "openly editing [scientology-related articles] from church of scientology equipment and apparently coordinating their activities.
" leaning on the famed wikiscanner, countless news stories have discussed the editing of scientology articles from scientology ips, and some site admins are concerned this is "damaging wikipedia's reputation for neutrality.

Operation Valkyrie - Could this happen in the "Nazi" Watchtower society?
by Witness 007 inthe plot to kill hitler and take over the government by a large group of hitlers elite officers.
the bomb in hitlers bunker did not kill him...they almost suceeded.....religiously the same "coupe" happened when hurbert armstrong died {world wide church} his new president adopted the trinity and tried to join the mainstream churches which divided the church into many factions.
if these two ultra dedicated organisations can be overtaken and infultrated like the watchtower was with ray franz, edward dunlap....could this happen again?.

So, is Stafford the 21st Century CT Russell? Y'know, trying to start his own religion and all that? Why does the word 'plonker' come to mind?

The biggest issue I can see with small church gatherings (by small I mean between 12 and 20 people) is car parking. On a tight residential street, an addition 6 or 8 cars on the night of the BSG would probably cause a headache for the neighbours. Maybe in new builds they recognise this, especially with residential streets offering less and less pavement space for additional parking.

DF or DA what do you think the difference is?
by Rosey ini would like to know from everyone first of all what they think the difference is between a df'd person and a da'd person.. i would also like to know what everyone thinks that jw's think is the difference between a df'd and da'd person.. personally i am df'd.
i was df'd 10 years ago almost and did not argue it at all as i had no desire to continue as a jw anyway.
before being df'd i was always under the impression that if a person da'd themselves it almost always meant they were " apostate" and that there was no way a jw should have any contact with them.

Do you as a df'd person see yourself as different from a da'd person?
Do you as a da'd person see yourself as different from a df'd person?
I'm disassociated "by my actions" (namely, going to church. I see myself as different from someone who was DFd for unrepentant gross sin, such as adultery. I merely exercised by God-given free will and chose to not go to the meetings of JWs and instead go to a local church. To be punished for doing so is, of course, ridiculous, and there is not precedent in Scripture to place someone like me in the same category as an adulterer.
When it comes to cases of disfellowshipping such as that of Hobo Ken, well....that's a different matter entirely....
