  FuGK This Religion- Stop Ruining My Life!!!

  i am sorry for the title but today just took the cake.

  after not going to the meetings since august and trying to sort through this with my family, my wife today told me she wants to separate because of our differences over being a witness or not.. this is ridiculous.

  so i said- how can you separate from me when the religion you whole heartedly believe says you can only separate for 3 reasons- abuse, willful non-support, or stopping her from her meeting attendance, etc.

  so, my mum is a massively obedient little dub!

  i knew this before showing more negativity towards the borg.

  i recently fell into the trap of shooting my mouth off about all the things that i felt were wrong with the borg, after her ass kissing comments got the better of me.. my other half's grandmother has also learned ttatt over the past few months as has most of her immediate familly in fact.

  I remember not long after my exit quoting something to my parents from the Proclaimers book. My mum responded by sarcasticly asking my dad, "and how old is the Proclaimers book?" .

  JWs are the best at finding any excuse to cover for their religion's hypocrisy and double-standards.

  our friend was raised a jw but never got baptized and left when he was in his late teens.

  any way we started talking about the new jw.org and the new tv show they have.

  the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.

  the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.

  The religion is changing.

  Some will wake up as a result, some always do and many of us are here as a result.

  But most will stay safely ensconsed in their spiritual paradise, surrounded by their similarly atrophied conditional friends and family.

  However, as to whether these changes, whether doctrinally or technologically, will bring in new converts, I highly doubt it. Is any Abrahamic religion other than Islam growing in the West, where surely the GB wants to see growth (the West is where the cash is)? It doesn't seem so.

  I think the WTBTS will happily plateau for the forseeable future. After all, it takes considerably less effort and resource to keep a customer than it does to gain a new customers. The GB will be content to see incremental growth from within; the born-ins. Keep the families already in the cult happily sated on Spirituality Lite, giving the parents as many tools as possible to guilt-trip their kids into becoming the next generation of suit-wearing, bag-toting faithful adherents.

  And when the down-turn in membership inevitably happens, it won't bother them; the love of the greater number is due to cool off, after all.

  The GB doesn't want a big religious following. Too hard to control. A satisfied and loyal/faithful core is the end-game. And everything is set up to make that happen.

  He fluffs his lines several times. Why didn't they re-do those parts?

  Simple answer; they're trying to make it look live. Note the be-suited JW "count him in" right at the start. Fuck's sake - it's not a live TV show...therefore that's completely unnessecariy.

  OR

  They didn't ask him to re-do it because he's a GB member and therefore infalliable. Any mistakes were Jehovah's intention all along.

  JW TV - One Further Step Towards Making the Organization Soft & Cuddly

  one of the more astonishing developments within the organization in recent years is the muting of the more "out there" behaviors of this once fiercely confrontational and proud end-times religious group.. members were unapologetically no part of the world and couldn't give a rat's ar*e what you thought of them.

  whereas the organisation fostered an outlook of warning the "wicked" world of the imminence of its destruction at the hands of the almighty - and spared no effort in doing so - nowadays the organization is sucking in its more "loose cannon" elements.

  in the place of these elements is a sparkling, smiling, airbrushed group of worshippers who parade their wholesome settled lifestyle to win converts.

  Prediction- JW's will create their own Social Network Site

  with their advancement into web based programming and their soon to be broadcast meetings the need for a physical meeting place is quickly diminishing.

  i predict that the large scale sell-of of kingdom halls will begin in the next few years as the people get their meetings online.

  the one thing that would be missed with a liquidation of kh halls is "upbuilding" association which will force the society into creating a jw social media app which will not only allow for association but close monitoring of the pubs.
