What happens when you contact wbts HQ
by Archimendes inhi all,.
what sort of responses do people actually get when you write to brooklyn hq to query subjects like their quote mining and other dubious uses of sources.
i am currently having a bit of a 'discussion' on a popular nz mb with 3 or 4 current jw who are having a hard time accepting that the quotes from their latest pamphlets on evolution, among others are taken out of context, its got to the point where the only answer they are willing to give is to take it up with borg central.. if i actually physically mailed them a letter with a large portion of attached documents, would i get an actual response, photocopies of articles, or filed under wicked slave?.

I wrote the society in Canada and New York and sent them the same letter. I was asking about the UN scandal. I sent them all the information as back up, emails and letters from the UN etc. The New York Bethel didn't respond at all! The Canadian Bethel responded within 3 weeks. They sent me a letter of "Dear sister, we are sorry that the world made u see this, please trust us blagh blagh, and sent me two magazines highlighting the fact that they respect the government. They didn't answer my questions at all, only telling me to trust Jehovah, but I did get a response. Maybe if you really want answers, you can write to a few Bethel branches, you should get a response from someone lol.

Did Young Jesus Have Any Memory of His Pre-Human Existence?
by leavingwt in(via this post at jwr.).
did young jesus have any memory of his pre-human existence?.
"evidently", the writing department [celebrated wt scholars] cannot decide.

I guess it pisses me off that they use words like Evidently without knowing the DEFINITION of Evidently. Evidently means that there is evidence of something, that it is a clear statement. Grrrr on them for publishing this bullshit. It just makes the rank and file sit there going "wow jehovah's organization has so much knowledge that others don't." They are so stupid and careless with their publishing. You would think after like 100 years of publishing, they would run out of lies to tell.
Definition: evidently ['?v?d?ntl?]
adv 1. without question; clearly; undoubtedly evidently adverb 1. obviously, clearly, plainly, patently, undoubtedly, manifestly, doubtless, without question, unmistakably, indisputably, doubtlessly, incontrovertibly, incontestably He had evidently just woken up.

Hi Everyone,
I recently found a brother from the hall I grew up in, and a sister as well, they are dating. They both recently realized it isn't the 'truth' and are having a hard time. I'd like to show them how much love is on this site. This is what he posted on Facebook ex jw page recently:
"i am tierd. my heart is broken, i wonder how many more times i can pick myself up. i used to love but wonder if it was worth it? please help."
anyone have any words of encouragement for my friends? Its nice to know others from my past realize the same too, it's wonderful!

Favorite Demon Stories
by Cold Steel inone of the most fascinating aspects of the jw religion is the profound fear of demons (evil spirits) it engenders in its members.
i just wondered whether it's something that is used by the leadership as a means of control, or whether it's simply a concept that grew legs and took off on its own?
first, i believe in evil spirits.

@aspheisnotacircle...
yes i think she was. Im 28 and to this day i hate the dark. maybe she was afraid too. she said to call out Jehovah, i did.....nonetheless i dont blame my mom, i just know the whole call on the name of Jehovah doesnt work in times of demon crisis.

kay, my mom did buy me a skirt for the meetings from a second hand store. It was by far the creepiest thing ever. My blinds would blow, but my window was closed. That was the first night, the second night i saw a man in my room by my door, wearing a red sweater, black pants and a beard, it was sooooo creepy. i stared at him forlike an hour, praying to Jehovah, and saying Jehovah's name out loud because my mom always said the demons shutter....well this fucker wouldn't go away!!!! I scremed for my mom, she was too scared to come, so I ran....as I ran i looked at him, and he followed me with his eyes, it was sooooo creepy. I was like 8. I swore he was a real man because he wouldn't go away, but he was kinda transparrent. Anyways i ran to my moms room, she threw the skirt out, and no more problems.
It wasn't a pleasant experience by far.

oh this could be an interesting thread lol. Im sure 3/4 if not all JWs have some kind of demon story. Im sure everyone heard the story about the demon who raped the sister? Sister who, KNOW ONE KNOWS HER ACTUAL NAME, it's just a sister. i heard that story tons over the years through the different congregations we were in...(we moved a lot). I think it's funny because everyone who leaves the truth are apostates, and demonized. I remember going to my moms for a visit a couple years ago, and she asked if I had anything wierd in my suit case because she had a bad dream two nights in a row.....hence, I brought SOMETHING demonized with me, cause i dont go to meetings, satan has me. LOL
anyways, i do have a couple real stories, but I'll wait to see if anyone else posts lol....

OMG that made me laugh, then go WTF!?!
So basically if you are sick or have health problems, the meetings will cure it hay? Don't take too many precautions because we know this life will be done with soon! How dare they even write shit like this!?
