It has been warmer in the past, and apparently it supported a much larger biomass. Large portions of the Northern Hemisphere are essentially frozen wastelands that support a small load of living things, in comparison to warmer equatorial regions.

Ban The Internet

the thought occurred to me that if post-secondary education is to be avoided, why would the wts not make a similar stance about the internet?

all dubs in good standing should burn their books and their computers... really, the internet has great propensity to open people's minds and expose them to different ideas and viewpoints.

in itself it doesn't promote critical thinking, but it certainly offers fodder for thought and expression.

Why is it so objectionable to some to consider the possibility that we are doing harm. To explore new technologies, look for new alternatives, and begin new business's. Why does it rankle some to think of these new business's making profits. What is wrong with regulating the level of pollution a company can spew? What's wrong with a car that is more fuel efficient? What's wrong with a "greener" way of building homes, or more importantly planning communities? And what in the world is so wrong with the companies that produce the products, and do the research making money from it? The oil companies are currently making the highest profits IN HISTORY.

Well obviously there is nothing wrong with these things.

after a while, i arrived at acts 7:59 where stephen "appealed" to jesus.

If I am not mistaken "appeal" is within the semantic range of the original word but you can bet that the WTS will always select the word in the range that best fits with their theology.

Besides, when do JWs ever appeal to Jesus for help? It is all Jehovah.

by them placing christ's coming in 1914 they can conveniently teach that we have been living in a sort of judgnent day since that time; and of course the judgment is swayed one way or another by how people respond to wt literature.

however, this doesnt mean that there will be no judgment as the politically correct new age do-gooders teach either.

Here again, the enemy seems to seek to remove the idea of guilt and an actual judgment day so as not to frighten sinners into looking for a way out of their predicament and possibly ending up on their knees at the foot of the cross where they should be.

With the exception of the NWT, I fail to see a conspiracy regarding Bible translations that you list.

Thank you for rephrasing and distorting my comment. I do not know exactly who "you people" are supposed to be, but that phrasing tends to suggest an extremely partisan mindset.

Apparently you prefer not to engage in intellectually honest discussion. I will remember this in the future.
