Sing Praises to Jehober
by gloobster inlast week when i was tipsy i ordered a copy of sing praises to jehovah, and it came in the mail today.
i hadn't heard some of the songs since i was a child, and i've rediscovered some of the lyrics.
they are quite amusing (albeit disturbing).. this is a classic everyone knows, song number 2. .

I need a new drink

I met some good people in the "truth." But a lot them were some of the most mean-spirited idiots you'll ever come across. I usually found the worst ones were also the biggest hypocrites also.
I had an elder tell me that I could no longer consider myself one of the JWs because I hadn't turned in FS time in six months. Apparently there is a six month rule I never heard about. He said to me "you're nothing now."
I could go on and on with experiences like that, but it would take all night. Suffice to say it is a sick religion at best. -

Pretty much all the above postings. I just found the hypocrisy unbearable after a while. I remember reading about Beth Sarim, the mansion Rutherford built, I think in San Diego? They tried to rationalize it by saying that certain prophets were going to come back to life and would need some digs to stay in. Man what a bunch of crap. I regret every penny I gave the WT, and every minute I wasted with that cult.

How do you know if you're in love?
by LouBelle into be honest - i've never loved anyone - i'm talking about the romatic type here.
i have liked & been attracted to people....but love, nope.
i have no idea how to identify it.. looking at people in "so called" love today can be a bit deceptive, as what i have seen and still see to a great extent is 2 people .
