He has a very small car and I don't think he can get all of this in his trunk. He might have to take out the back seat and pile it all in. His car group will probably have to ride on the top of his car. Where we live we don't have hurricanes, maybe it's in case of a tornado. Doesn't say anything about keeping books and bible in the car. And yes maybe the shovel is for burrying bodies I hope he will bury mine first.

Looked into hubby's bag and found this paper. They want to know person to contact in case of emergency , name of person in case of a disaster or evacuation-where would you like to go? Those who might be traveling with you (name, relationship. How would you most likely travel? Make of car year color and lic plate#. Specific health problems, medications, doctor, hospital, health insurance names. Now the back of this form is very interesting. It would be good to have emergency supplies/equip both in home and in the car.
HOME
Bottled water-drinking/cooking - at least a 7 day supply NON perishale food easily opened and able to consume w/o cooking. Candles/water proof matches. Clock/watch-battery or manual operation. Radio batteries. Flashlight-waterproof batteries. Medications up to date. Extra batteries.
CAR
Keep gas tank full as much as possible. Identification. Medical directive card. Medication. First aid kit. Maps/compass. Telephone#'s. Water. Non perishable food. Candies/waterproof matches. Clock/watch-battery or manual operation. Radio/batteries. Blanket. Soap/paper towel. Small tarp-catching water, shade. Hand tools-screw driver, pliers, pocket knife. Duct tape. Small shovel and last but no least CASH.
SOME HAVE ITEMS PACKED IN A CONTAINER AND (1) IN TRUNK OF CAR (2) IN HOUSE, EASILY ACCESSIBLE.
Just waiting to see when he will start getting this togerther. Any thoughts on this form? Have any of you heard of this form? Are they getting ready for the big A?

I HAVE LEFT ARTICLES THAT I PRINTED FROM SILENT LAMBS AND LEFT THEM IN MY DOCTORS OFFICE NEXT TO THE RAG MAGIZNES FROM THE JW. WHEN BY BROTHER-IN-LAW HAD HIS OPEN HEART SURGERY AT THE LOCAL VETERANS HOSPITAL I FOUND SOME MAGAZINES AND THREW THEM IN THE GARBAGE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND. YOU WOULD BE SUPRISED THE NUMBER OF JW'S THAT ACTUALLY USE THE VA FACILITY FOR MEDICAL HELP. I SAW A WOMEN WITH A BIBLE AND ALL OF HER STUDY MATERIAL, COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH AT HER. HERE SHE IS A GOVERMENT HOSPITAL AND HER JW HUSBAND IS GETTING ALL OF HIS MEDICAL CARE FOR FREE. THEY USE THIS SYSTEM ALL THEY CAN AND THEN TALK AGAINST IT WHEN GOING DOOR TO DOOR. WOULD YOU CALL THAT A LITTLE WIERD.

i am 25 years old and was raised in the society.
fortunately when i was 8, my father left the organization and this allowed me to see the wrold from both angles, the jw (mom) and not (dad).. at first, i was strongly on the side of the witnesses and i even allowed myself to be convinced that getting baptised at 11 was a good idea.

Hi all, I'm back...and it's DC time - Damn!

my wife's the jw, but i hold the hatetred!
i had to back away...since then i've managed to remove old publications(she stores them now), i'm an opposer now, so i've not really had any elder contact, she's still doing bs & fs, but not much talk.

It is hard to live in a situation where you feel alone all the time. Try doing it for about 38 years. I did attend the hall from 1974 to 1983. Walked out and never went back. Money is very tight for many people, but they sure can suck it out of you. We are on a fixed income, but my husband's contribution has never changed. The same amount every year. The organizaion is her husband, just as it is my husband's wife. That is all they live for, meetings, service and study. You might want to ask your wife to look at page 221 on the new book they are studying. It talks about spiritual endagerment. It say that if they feel they are in spiritual danger they can get a legal seperation. I know the Bible says if you cannot live in peace to seperate, but now they put the word LEGAL in front of it. If these women leave their husbands, who is going to support them? The welfare system???????????? Who will pay their legal fees???? Believe me DC these people have sucked the brains out of both of our mates. I told my husband two years ago that soon they will get rid of all mates who do not believe. Well it looks like that is what is happening. Don't remove her books and magazines. You are just adding fuel to the fire, or this may be part of the spiritual endagerment.

My husband lost his father last Saturday. The funeral was Tuesday in a Catholic church and he would not go to the service. He stayed outside while his children were inside. I only went for the viewing of the body and then left because I knew he wouldn't go in. When his mom died he walked out of the church and left me by myself. I felt like a fool everyone saw him leave. What a shame, he doesn't even have any respect for his father. Those JW's are some heartless sick people.
