  I worry about my JW friend :( He has so much potential but he's wasting his life with that organization believing the world's going to come to an end.

  Ban The Internet

  the thought occurred to me that if post-secondary education is to be avoided, why would the wts not make a similar stance about the internet?

  all dubs in good standing should burn their books and their computers... really, the internet has great propensity to open people's minds and expose them to different ideas and viewpoints.

  in itself it doesn't promote critical thinking, but it certainly offers fodder for thought and expression.

  The thought occurred to me that if post-secondary education is to be avoided, why would the WTS not make a similar stance about the internet? All dubs in good standing should burn their books and their computers... Really, the internet has great propensity to open people's minds and expose them to different ideas and viewpoints. In itself it doesn't promote critical thinking, but it certainly offers fodder for thought and expression. There have certainly been warnings about the internet, but it hasn't out and out been forbidden as of yet... Does anyone see that happening?

  Guilt!

  i feel bad for my jw friend, i had been going to meetings, then he said he didn't feel comfortable e-mailing to me anymore... i stopped going to meetings and e-mailed him to tell him why... i'm sure he thinks he's lost a potential convert and now i'm just gonna die instead of living forever and the guilt made him "confess" that he's been communicating with a "worldy" woman who he didn't intend to marry...

  arghhh!!!

  what is with this whole guilt thing?!

  Thanks :) I honestly DO feel guilty! Poor guy is so proud to be a ministerial servant, as much as I think he's blind to the truth, I've been talking to him for 10+ years and really do care about him...

Arghhh!!! What is with this whole guilt thing?! I'm feeling guilty!! Is the poor guy gonna be relegated to the back of the kingdom hall for punishment?? Will he have to do some sort of penance for this "non" sin that I'm sure he's convinced he has committed?

  no matter how much you want to avoid it...crying is necessary sometimes.

  for me, i need help with it....too many distractions in my life.

  i almost have to plan crying....so for me music aides in releasing emotion, helps me just be me for an interval of time.

  you don't need to exaggerate the foibles of jws to get the point across that they are not "the truth".

  can you state some facts that show that jehovah's witnesses are not "normal' and that their religion is weird and simply abnormal?.

  Well, I think this could qualify as foolish... My male JW friend told me I was kind, big-hearted, sweet, we get along well, have the same interests and the same humour, but we can't talk anymore cuz I'm worldy *SIGH* I realllllly need to get over this... I never realised the affect being a JW has on a person until that point...
