  the year is circa 1994; i go to my driveway to pick up the sunday paper to read.

  on the front page is the story of a serious car accident.

  one person was killed he was a passenger in one of two cars that were racing; he got decapitated as a cable cut through the windshield of one of the cars.

  As it neared the poles the velocity would grow less, and there the fall would begin to take place. On the same theory that an airship falls when the motion forward ceases, just so when the movement of the aqueous ring slowed down at the poles it would fall. The breaking of the canopy in the region of the equator would admit the aqueous vapors which, when precipitated in the region of earth's atmosphere, would hurry on to the poles, both north and south, and there begin to fall. . .

  Can you please clarify where this extract can be found. I have the 1917 edition and cant locate it

  oh my god!!!!.

  my wife just took me to a site about jw women being molested and abused and not only wasn't anyone prosecuted, those bastards were allowed to continue raping these innocent children under the protection of the gb.

  i was not raised a jw so when i hear something like this it ignites in me an anger that you can not begin to imagine.

  my flyers merely said: if as a jehovahs witness, a member of your family has been molested information is available for further information see: www.silentlambs.org or call 1-877-wtabuse.. nothing overtly inflammatory, actually more like a public service announcement.. i guess thats what most of the local organizers and friends thought in my neck of the, woods for the first two days of the district convention!

  but once the 'friends' realized that the website i was promoting with my flyers and moving car billboard was not an approved wt site, the powers that be got ... well ... pissed is the word!.

  nobody bothered me on friday as i went smiling about my posting flyers on the light and utility poles on the routes to/from the convention site.

  Making money out of the dead and holocaust

  as you may know, victims from the nazi camps can get compensation, and the watchtower has naturally found a new way to get money - from the dead!

  they propose that they will get the money - and "give it away to needy jws".

  since when did the watchtower do anything of the kind?

  it all started when my mother, who is now 62, was walking down the street and some witnesses stopped her while they were street witnessing.

  my mom had a really tough life, and was looking for answers and a solution to her problems.

  i requested that my sons (both jws) come to my home for a family meeting today.

  had nothing to do with religion.

  both of them know i don't go to meetings and that i have intellectual disagreement with wtbs.. son #2 said that before we begin the meeting, he would like to offer up prayer.

  Excuse me people. Doesn’t this thread seam a little odd to you? A complete stranger – a newbie throws up a controversial post and disappears. (Distracting out attention from other posts perhaps) At the end of the day isn’t the standard of what is acceptable sexual behaviour and what is not a decision to be made between the couple themselves. If you don’t like it do something about it. If you aren’t happy about it the person to speak to is with partner. Why ask us?
