SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
Did anyone see last night's episode, and then the preview for next week's episode?
Was the preview insinuating that Miguel was selling Dexter out with the cops, towards the end of the preview???
after my last post where i asked for advice on how to handle whether i should tell an elder that we've been going to church, i decided to tell a local elder who's related to me through marriage.
this was to save my dad having to 'report' me (i'd told my dad we go to church).
anyway, i had an interesting chat with him and he said some very personally revealing things re.
Thanks for the update. I'm glad they behaved in a decent manner. You're done with them! The road ahead will not be easy, but it will be very rewarding!
i listened in to the conf call tonight.
one thing that i got from it was that apparently (and the wording might be a little wrong) is that elders or ms will be removed if they are going to college or university.
a person encouraging another to go to college will be removed as well.
sammieswife,
Yes, that stuff is so crazy. It's hard to believe it took me so long to wake up and snap out of it.
No matter how crazy something sounds, the rank and file see it as a "loving provision from Jehovah".

one of my greatest enjoyments is a daily walk.

i remember the old timers saying that the red babylon book was the hardest to understand.. in my memory, i'd have to say the isaiah books and daniel book were the most involved and boring.. the revelation book had gorgeous pictures in it (the writing was horribly boring), so i just looked at them, and i was 22 at the first study of it!.
Isaiah Book, hands down, most boring book.
On the flipside, the Greatest Man book was my personal favorite.
as most of you know..i live in the canadian wilderness,on a mountain..going to civilization is not cheap..it`s time consuming and gas is not cheap to make the trip..$15.00 round trip..or..$200.00 taxi cab fare(round trip),plus cab fare to get around town............i drove up my ranch driveway..and..got out of my truck to unlock the massive ranch gate..stuffed into the gate was the new wbt$ tract, wrapped in a plastic bag!..the title of the tract:"would you like to know the truth?
"...............actually..yes,i would like to know the truth!.....what kind of an idiot would spend all that time to drive to the middle of nowhere, spend all that money on gas, spend money on plastic bags, just to leave me a worthless wbt$ tract??!!....lol!

OUTLAW,

hey i have not posted in a while.
i was wondering if there were any more ex-jw's who are now out of the borg.
and who previously went to any of the congregations in the saratoga county, schenectadycounty, albany county congregations.during my witness years i attended the ballston spa cong ,saratoga cong.
FYI
"Gunshy", a new Ex-JW poster at http://www.jwsupportforum.com/index.php is from Upstate, but I'm not certain how close he was to you.
so i have been having problems with the renters that moved in next door.
the last 3 months have been a living hell.
i have an ongoing complaint with the slumlord that owns the property and the city is taking him to court for derelict vehicles next week (which i anonymously complained about, but i am sure i am being blamed for).
Snakes,
That is wonderful news.
