There have been many good points brought out whether or not you should go to their sales party. That is a personal decision, however the shunning part is barbaric. The best time can be had with mixed company, witnesses and non witnesses, they look so stupid wen they ignore you and wiggle around trying to look the other way. Ever wonder why the WT advises the r&f to avoid gatherings with df'ed or da'ed people their? Because they are social misfits when acting like they are teaching you a lesson in love by avoiding you and treating you like dirt.
Warning people of the cult is something I like to do also, if the subject of religion comes up. A lot of people I deal with knew I was a dub and telling them the real truth is rather enjoyable. The first person I told was a woman I had met at the door and known previously, did that ever feel good to tell her I no longer spread lies like an idiot book salesman.

article in the newspaper of september 7, 2001. unless you stipulate, upon admission, that you desire a visit, the elders will not even know.. this change, i am sure, is based on the practice of jw blood gestapo frequenting the hospitals and scanning the patient lists under the guise of clergy priviledge, looking for jws sneaking into hospital and getting blood based treatment.. the actions of the elders was deemed against the law of patient confidentiality, and so their privelidge was cut.. elders stay out is now the new law.

I never knew elders that went to hospitals to see who was there, on the list. It was hard enough to get there when you heard an announcement.
I do agree patient confidentiality is very important. It's probably more of a risk from witness employees in such positions, that would break law for the big bad WT.

Every new case sets new legal precedent, according to my attorney. He is ready to find one in my favor if I need to. I'm ready to pay as well.
Only if the locals go on the offensive, which they are inclined to do, will an attorney be used in my case. The WT should just leave people alone if they no longer want to hear their spew.

by Uncanny ini have just tv-watched two very famous and very rich fleshly sisters, venus and serena williams, play out the final of the 2001 us open tennis championship for women.. venus, the older girl, won the match as expected after two regulation, rather ho hum sets of 'grand slam' tennis.
(maybe their dad had already done a deal with them on who was going to be the winner today.
) anyway, the big new york crowd seemed to get their money's worth, more maybe from the novelty value of sibling rivalry rather than high standard court play.

they were informed bethe was offically closed till 1:30 pm for a special meeting with the bethel family.
would anyone care to speculate or verify the purpose of the meeting?

Hello All,
About two years or so now the WT has been encouraging congregations to borrow money from them or to refinance with them at a new lower interest rate. There are many stipulations that benefit the WT such as: all the ownership paperwork naming the owners of the building defaults back to the WT, any organizational claims all default back to the WT, ex. corporate or religious association formations of entities to operate in their state are worded to default back to the WT.

I Said Goodbye
by Farkel inmy father was rushed by ambulance from his rest home to st. marks hospital in salt lake city, utah friday, but i only just heard about it.
i received a call from the floor nurse and she told me he is not expected to live.
his lungs are filled fill up with fluid and are continuing to fill u with more fluid: he has pneumonia.

Typical reaction if your not in a current prominent position. The family dog would have more of a reaction to the loss than most programed dubs. Farkel, they just can't see it.

Do bethelites get social security?
by sleepy ini was just wondering you know whether in bethel workers get credited with whats called in britian national insurance.. in britian you carnt miss six years of payment and expect a full goverment pension which isn't much anyway.also you cant claim full income support , sickness benifit or job seekers allowence if you have missed or underpaid you ni.. this came to mind as my wife worked for a company that didn't pay contributions for her .. when latter on she lost her job the goverment wouldn't pay her any job seekers allowance as no ni contributions were credited for that year.. so does bethel pay ni contributions for bethelites and circuit overseers and the like.

How about health insurance for Bethelites? If they leave their given an exit physical exam what happens if a grave illness is found and they wait to tell you only after your insurance has expired? Now that would save them some money wouldn't it.
