  Help/Advice getting out of a talk..

  for some reason they lost my name or something for talks, haven't done one in a year.

  anyway i got assigned one and i sure as hell don't want to give it since i'm trying to get out as is.

  i also don't want to make the talk but there is no way i can turn it over to someone else with my mom around.

  Mysterious,

  Assuming your still a minor and cannot leave home yet, take the assignment. Your mom will be off your case and you'll have some peace for a while. Public speaking is always a benificial skill to have. Learn what your religion is all about and what doctrin they teach so you can plant questions/seeds of doubt in the rest of your family. Just being rebelious with no excuse just causes more trouble for you.

  Of course this advice will be thought to be straight from Satan himself by any loyal JW. You do have a right to question anything in life and I hope you have a good one.

  Happy Thanksgiving, Worldwide Apostate Community!!!

  thanksgiving is a holiday rooted in the concept of the harvest festival, taken from the experiences of the early pioneers and special pioneers whose rugged independence laid the foundation for the usa.

  it is celebrated on the fourth thursday of november - this year it will be this thursday, november 27th.

  in the spirit of thaksgiving, i lift my figurative glass in a toast to the many individuals of the worldwide apostate community - a rag-tag collection of "pioneers" and "special pioneers" who have turned their back on the imaginary security of an unreal paradise and found the grit within themselves to prosper and find joy in facing the "unknown country" called reality.

  I remember these well, we (elders) had a plan developed in responce to a letter from the WT where we would lateral pass the files from one elder to another and never admitting they existed if the government came looking for them.

  in the united states i keep hearing about how nobody sees the witness is going door-to-door and more, or at least not as often as they used to.

  i also heard a report from england recently which stated to the same effect.. what do you think?

  do you think the internet is the watchtower society's worst nightmare?.

  Prayers in Restaurants....

  on bank holiday monday just gone, a dear kind older couple in the cong decided to take me and my good lady out for a slap up meal, to try to cheer us up after the recent upheaval in our life.

  somehow i ended up with the bill.. anyway, this was the local italian trattoria were we often go, and are on first names terms with the staff and quite a few of the other regulars.

  big mistake!!.

  Yes, co John Casino did the same thing in a Chinese rest. With a group of ten and about 100 others that were not interested. I wanted to crawl under the table while watching the pompous ass.

  the watchtower society is supposed to be without racial prejudice.

  god's channel would be expected to be unlike the world in its ungodly views.

  yet, the watchtower magazine as well as other publications at times spoke of the black race as accursed, uneducated and unable to adequately teach the word thru the publications.
