  Why don't they do more to protect the children from sexual abusers?

  flipper asked this question and got me thinking about it.

  why don't they do more to protect the children?

  why not hunt the abusers down and get them out of the organization?

  You make an excellent point about the word pedophile. We have two child molesters in our hall we had three at one point and like I have said no one was supposed to know. Definitely not any parents.

  Well one of the child molesters who was in prison for 10 years and on parole for another 10 got totally mad at my husband. Now my husband does not have a lot of love for child molesters having seen how it has affected me from my being molested as a child. Well this psychopath child molester got mad at my husband for not being more of an elder to him. He asked to speak to my husband alone and my husband told him he just could not respect a man who raped his own daughter along with another child. This totally set the pedo off and he went to anther elder all ticked off at my husband for saying he raped his daughter which was a provable fact.

  How I found out that my husband had said he raped his daughter was not from my husband but from the elder who the child rapist went to. Now this elder was totally mad, in fact mad is an understatement for how upset this elder was he was pissed at my husband. He told me that he would not ever stand for my husband to ever call anyone a rapist. That is when I asked my husband about it and my husband said I did not call him a rapist I said he raped his daughter which he did go to prison for.

  This elder was so mad. He said no one would ever use the word rape to any brother. Well that is what this child molester did. He raped his own kid. How can you call it anything else.

  How totally crazy is all of this. So if a brother murders someone or does arm-robbery or if God forbids he has oral sex with his wife what do the elders call all of these crimes.

  Change the phrase "sexual abuse" to murder; or manslaughter; or armed robbery. I've always found it interesting that this two witness rule applies only to sexual abuse claims and no other alleged crime.

  That is a excellent point. In my hall the elders were letting a level three who was dropped down to a level two sex offender take babies in the back room and outside alone. The elders had a stick policy that only elders could know who was a pedophile in the hall no parents were ever allowed to know so the parents of these children had not a clue that a sex offender was taking care of their babies. They just thought this brother was a wonderful helpful kind man.

  When I found out I hit the roof. I was the one to get into huge trouble not the child molester for his holding children. I was called nothing but a per gossip, threatened with causing divisions in the hall, etc and was told this pedophile did not really do the crime. I went on the Internet and got his page with his picture printed off. I showed it to the elders. He served eight years in prison for rape of an child. They still claimed he did not do the crime. For the first four years we were in the hall this pedophile was holding children and doing what ever he wanted to do with babies.

  The CO just told me a couple of weeks ago well he stopped holding children didn't he that is all you need to know. I was so mad. I started yelling at the CO. You have got to be kidding me, this child molesters was holding children and the only reason he stopped is because I found out when I was not supposed to have even known and that is the only reason he stopped otherwise he would still be holding children right now. And you feel that is OK.

  I was thinking like you said BT what if he had murdered some people or if he had done armed robbery would the CO have said well he stopped that is all you need to know. He has not murdered someone for two years so he is fine. You are the one with the problem and you are the one who is causing the divisions.

  The CO even said to me, how do you think you are making the child molester feel, you have made the whole hall aware of it by your emailing the elders, I was emailing asking for justice to be done to the children and I was only emailing the elders not the whole hall. The CO said the wives of the elders could very well read the emails and now the whole hall knows these men are child molesters. How do you think they the child molesters feel now that you have broad cast it to everyone?

  Oh my God just writing this I am so pissed right now I have to stop otherwise I am going to explode.

  This religion is so crazy I just want to scram.

  Thank you Big Tex. You are and Flipper and Lady Lee for standing up to the pain that victims go through there whole life. I know that pain too well myself. Oh I am so mad. I have got to quit writing.

  You are so right you have no friends in the witness world. Oh I could go on and on about this. When ever I brought this up to my husband he said I just needed to keep my blinders on and I am only serving Jehovah remember not men.

  So many times I just wanted to scream. I have finally stopped going to the meeting after never and I mean NEVER missing meeting and you guessed it no one cares. They all treat me as being df'ed.

  Amazing. No one wants to know why, they all just shun me. Feel the love

  due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

  remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

  what about the thousands that don't get caught?

  I have not had the time to read through all of the new posts Flipper. But the answer to your question on this thread is yes I was molested and it totally screws up your whole life. I totally feel Big Tex's pain. It hurts more than you can know. The pain never goes away. None of the elders ever did a dam thing to help me as a child or now.

  Reniaa I just cannot even comment on her right now I was so mad at what she said.

  I am so thankful for ones like Big Tex, he speaks for me and how I feel. I wish I had the courage he has. The pain of being abused NEVER NEVER NEVER leaves you. For Reniaa to make light of the WT's policy it so hurtful. The WT did nothing to help me and I am watching things happen right now in the hall with not one elder doing dam thing yet again to to stop it. Not only that but I have been the one to get in trouble for even talking about it!!!!!!!!!

  I have to stop. I do not have time to keep writing and I am just to mad right now from what I read from Reniaa.

  Thanks Big Tex,((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) I am so thankful for what you said. The pain of us victims should never be put down like Reniaa just did.

  Materialism & Adultery

  so, we were brought up in/enticed into an organisation that we believed was a spiritual paradise.

  everyone appearing to be better than the world around them.

  my experience was of youngsters leading double lives, partying hard like the best of the world.

  I found that on a basic level people are good. I now have friends that do not judge me for: how many meetings I do or do not attend, how many times I show my face in the ministry, whether I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster or God or Allah, how big or small my house is. They like (or do not like) me based on who I really am. They are loyal friends, faithful partners and instill good morals in their kids (and most do not go to Church....). Totally unlike the picture painted by the Society. Although I miss my old JW friends, I certainly don't miss the subtle (and not so subtle) judgementalism of those friendships.

  I totally agree with you on everything you just said. I am just now leaving and everyone I have made friends with are very moral live very clean lives. I love that they do not judge me like I was in the witnesses world. So far the peace of not being at the meetings has been nice.

  Today was day 1 of my district cultvention

  some of the memorable moments today would be:.

  1) the nutty mother on stage with her little boy who became an unbaptized publisher at 6. i missed his current age, but he was a tiny little kid, couldn't be much older than a couple years over 6. tomorrow he gets baptized.

  2) the husband and wife couple who work part-time to pioneer, but wanted to do more so they sold their home, down-sized to one car and made other adjustments to make their lives more simple to put the kingdom first.
