The JC was not in the same territory - so would the cong they are currently in have placed the restriction or the original JC in another cong?
reinstatement was 6 mos ago-- nothing done at that time other than no comments or MS.. then 5 mos later wants a book study conducted -
seems that there is a run around going on and that person is getting very discouraged as they are going in FS and attending all meetings, etc.

Then when re instated, and the person is genuinely repentant, the 1989 OM book says there is an announcement made of the reinstatement and at the same time there would be mention of any restrictions that apply until the person has regained "a measure of spiritual strength"....
NOW: in the 2005 Organized to do Jehovahs Will book -- it says on page 157 that only the announcement is made of the reinstatement, no restrictions issue is mentioned.. so if a person who was out of the truth for 6 years -raised in it-- - attended meetings faithfully for over a year, and stayed separate even from parents until reinstated --should there be restrictions given since service and meeting attendance, etc. is all up to par since reinstatement - moreso that some of the cong numbers???? Change of requirements for re instatement?? I ask as this person has had to have a study, that will take about another 6 mos to a year to get thru. and it doesnt seem correct.. can anyone help..just need the facts pls..

Yes they are still pushing 1914 -- and yes science has found that there is an inbred need to worship ---- something---- so be it wrongful worship or sideways worship - its still some kind of worship... I think that's what keeps most in the truth because - "there is no better place to go"... so no one worries about anything changing as long as they keep their "faith" - to lose their faith is very demoralizing, to know you have given your life to something untrue - I know a lot have done it but it seems more don't want to do it -- leave that is--- until they really get a slap in the face, then maybe...........
Skewing numbers can be a big issue as well - I know in this part of the woods people are not disfellowshipped as much as they were, that in inself would keep numbers up as the elders are negligent or slow to act on an issue, hence, no drop in those who are inactive, immoral or deliquent in their service duties..no doubt, as the KM has stopped reporting numbers and only gives a highlight of a service month, so too, the annual numbers will have to cease being published, then any number crunch will be accepted without question cause no one but the elite will know what is actually going on... wonder they havent done that yet..

Apparently, according to police in the area - the elders were leaving the hall after an elders meeting when the shooter took Mort- the victim inside the hall and shot him. Gonzales is married to Mort's ex wife -- he had a restraining order on Gonzales in 2002 which was recinded in 2003 ... .. so no JC meeting..reads like Gonzales was no longer a witness...
So there will be a lot more to come...

If u listen to the news report - he was meeting there for maybe a JC -- apparently a woman called in and said he was meeting some brothers at the hall - this was 8:30 at night on a wednesday - so probably that is the scenario

New method of distributing magazines

i did a search and did not find anything.
not that big of a deal, but the concept of having a personal order of the magazines is going away effective immediately.

so will they report how many mags are produced anymore -- if this happens it will show a huge decrease in placements and the society does not want to be going backward ....................that would remove even more info getting to the r & F and then that would leave only the year end num bers to be referenced -- will they do away with those too???
In March 2010 the inside of the WT to the public shows 39,601,000 in 180 languages (per mo)
Same for May 2010 -- so when this goes into effect should be interesting to follow the numbers....
