I was never a Catholic but knew plenty that had became dubs. No one has guilt down as well as them. I don't have guilt about the things I do now that would be considered as sinful when a witless. Like I have said before I try to not hurt anyone with words or emotions and want them to respect me like that. If someone is guilty over something they need to get over it! Don't try to push it off on me.

ok so after complaining about my city's pathetic tradition of celebrating st. pat's day by mass alcohol poisoning, i thought i would try to find out some actual cultural things about ireland.
i tried the internet but almost everything i found was either pictures of green beer or drunk americans holding plastic shamrocks next to their green beer.
to paraphrase myself, it is so sad to boil an entire culture down to alcohol and tacky decorations.
Is it true the Guinness in Ireland tastes like chocolate? I heard this on TV.

Plant a seed of doubt if you can. Sometimes, it will take root. If it doesn't maybe in time they will see for themselves. I have no family that are dubs. I did have a few people I would like to see get out. They weren't ready.

the bill would make oaths to the state and u.s. flags a daily classroom event.. .
The pledge is a big thing down here in the south. We say it at political events for the Democratic Women's Club. It is no big deal to stand and say it for me. Don't remember saying it in school since the drugs I took during the sixties have made me loose some of my memories.

Welcome SourthCentral! You are correct to say elders are not to be told anything. One told me once that "elders don't go looking for trouble." But I have found out otherwise! They are real busy buddies and very nosy about things they don't have any business knowing.

i have posted the beginning of this story a while back.
my 14 year old grandson founded helping step by step to call attention to the plight of homeless children in this country.
he will walk from orlando fl to washington dc this summer, living as close as possible to how a homeless child lives.
Wish him the best on his endeavor. It is nice to hear of a success story instead of the opposite. Thanks for sharing for those of us who never had any children because of the Borg. We live vicariously through you parents on here.

I am still going out tonight we have a private room with our own pool table for our group. 25 people are coming that should be cool. Gregor TajMaFireHall sounds great. I used to volunteer with the ladies support groups in two different companies. Haven't looked into it here since they are all city employees. I did just buy some concert tickets to support the local 21. Not sure who they guy is that is the entertainment, I will look him up online.

i have been lurking around here for a few months and i'm really excited about participating in some of the discussions.
