Yes, that's him. Mickey was in Bethel too. I wonder if Stanley is still there. So he recommended you leave Bethel? Well, it turned out good for you.

LWT, brother Sainthill seemed to me one of the most professional, corporate looking and acting brothers at Bethel. He always seemed like the CEO of some company. When I was in Computer Services on the 6th floor of the 25 Building, that's where I remember him from.

I know Stanley from years ago when he was single, unless I am confusing him with his brother Mickey? Anyway, he is from my area when I was a teenager, and then he went to Bethel and then got married. I wonder how he is...

right now at bethel, they are laying off and reassigning again.
if you have cancer or some other illness, you are a liability and it's time to pack.
i remember the night when we had the special talk about there being a great need in the field and some would be sent out.
Even the title of this post, I guarantee you that 90% of the Bethelites who were reassigned NEVER SAY "I was Kicked Out."
One of the Bethelites that I talked to recently about all this said, "My wife and I have a sense of NERVOUS EXCITEMENT as to whether we will be chosen to go back into the field. Whatever Jehovah wants."
Yes, that's how the MAJORITY of Bethelites feel, no matter how many years they were there.

I didn't go to Bethel to show off, at least I hope I didn't. I really thought Bethel and MTS and being an elder was what Jehovah God wanted me to do.
We were all TAUGHT to see a person by their position, BUT WE NEVER CALLED IT THAT. We always were told that positions were not important, and in the next breath, "So what is your standing?"
That doublespeak is how cults work, I have learned. All the bad "words" apply to someone else, and some other group, just not us Witnesses. We are God's Organization.

since you have taken so much time in answering questions and commenting, i ask one more question:.
could you elaborate on who wrote certain books and brochures etc.?
i know you have written about articles you have contributed to, and also that coc lists the authors of some of the books, but do you remember at least some authors of some books / brochures / special articles?.
Thank you Barbara for your extremely interesting comments on who actually wrote the Society's publications. It's strange to see names next to the titles.
I remember brother Pevy, he came and gave a talk in Woodland Hills when I was a teenager, and then I saw him sometimes in Bethel, seemed like a low-key guy to me. He livened up a lot when a tour came from the Phillipines, he seemed pretty fluent in Tagalog.
One thing I would like to say about being in Bethel is that there is a huge generation gap between those in the Writing and Service and Engineering Departments, and the rest of the Bethelites. Us younger dudes hardly sat in the dining rooms with the older bro's, we wanted to relax at the table at lunch. Most of my Bethelite friends avoided that dining room in the 30 building. It was way more fun in the Bossert, or even in 90 Sands.
And in the car going to the meetings, we didn't like going too much with some of the older ones, they were too strict for us. At Watchtower Farms I rode with the B Building Home Overseer, Joel Vozzo. Nice guy I though, his wife talked a lot about how they have to "adjust" to Bethel even though they have been there for years.

the wt society doesn't seem to answer questions like other organizations do.
issues such as the policy on pedophiles, un involvement, lawsuits for shunning, and the like are never mentioned in the publications.
yes, they do talk about pedophiles in the wt, but never jw pedophiles and the society's policy on them.

why is it that the majority of witnesses seem to think they are "better" than the rest of us... i almost became an unbaptized publisher... i say almost... i was in and out for about 2 years, but always felt that the members of the congregation looked down on me... what is that all about?
how does that kind of behavior correlate to loving your neighbor and exuding love all the time... they talk about intense love and the condition of your heart... well, if the condition of their hearts is that they think and feel that they are better than everybody else, that just don't jive.... another question... anybody know how to get in touch with ex-jws in their geographic area> it would be great to talk to someone face-to-face :).
Most of the Witnesses I know never thought they were better, at least they didn't think they did. They simply viewed themselves as Jehovah's people.
AND THAT IT IS A PRIVILEGE.
Plus active Witnesses are taught to see others by their level of activity or responsibility. So they always ask if you are baptized, and then if you are a regular pioneer, auxliary pioneer, ministerial servant, or elder. That way they can see if you are good association, and you are active.
But even if you have these "privileges", you are still taught from the platform that you are a "good-for-nothing slave."
So it's really relative, Witnesses are chosen ones, but they are still good for nothing.
Sorry they treated you bad.

When I saw for myself the video of brother Jaracz apparently just coming off the platform from a talk, and his response to the Panorama journalist, I was SHOCKED. I know brother Jaracz personally, and I had never seen him uncomfortable like that.
And his answer was nothing like I expected. I really thought he would have expressed sympathy for the victims, and then say that the Organization is not perfect, but they are doing their best, and more so than ever.
But he didn't say that. His response seemed like he was trying to get out of it.
EVEN IF HE HAD KEPT QUIET IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.
