The ten best ways to disrupt a District Assembly:
by czarofmischief in1. have an apostate food truck outside with free burritos and shasta cola.. 2. wear a smurf costume and run across the stage.. 3. bikini car wash across the street.. 4. have an old-school breakdancing session on the corner, cardboard and all.
bonus if you do it on a mat made of watchtowers and primary colored book covers.. 5. have a garage sale or flea market in the neighborhood during the afternoon session.. 6. sit in the audience and applaud everything that anybody says - try to get a standing ovation for each sentence of the closing prayer.. 7. put a recording of rap, heavy metal, or other forbidden music on instead of the kingdom melodies.. 8. get fifty of your friends to walk around in the stadium during the session, holding signs that say, "louder please!
" and "take your shirt off!

Hardest most awkward parts of being mentally out but physically in
by BU2B ini am still physically in but am completely out mentally.. i was curious for those who spent some time in the borg while being mentally out or are still in that position, what is the worst, hardest or most awkward parts... for me i intensly dislike attending the meetings however its bearable as i can just let my mind wander, but field service is awful.
i cannot try to bring someone in to a group that i am trying to plot a way out of.
so now i try my best to either spend the day driving around to others fruitless rv's (we have somewhat rural territory) or eating out at an extended breakfast or if door to door cannot be avoided, i try to work alone and not ring bells.

You could actually focus on keeping us abreast of the latest and greatest that is going on in the org and just reporting on the general consensus of what the rank & file are saying in your specific area.
You could work by yourself in the d2d detail and then inform people of the actual reality of the Borg.
You could also try to find others who are mentally out and that helps a lot as I speak from experience about that. I am df'd now and it is much easier this way, once you get past the whole family & friends shunning thing.

Something about the end of the current system of things they can't pony up to...
by okage in1975 was approaching and for years the society demanded the belief that god instructed these men of bethel to declare 1975 as the date for the end.
they talked about it in conventions.
they supported it in many of their publications.

Inorder to remain relevant, a doomsday religion has to continue predicting the end or it becomes irrelevant to the rank & file. Everyday that goes by is another drop in the bucket or second in time proving the WTBTS is false. Time is not their friend.

I think this is a great idea to promote public awareness about the Watchtower Borg. Various small time political groups do things like this all the time to promote themselves. Why, we, the Ex-Dub club should do the same.
It probably would be easy to gather 100-150 people or so infront of the world headquarters and do a little pre-amping of the event to the news media on the coat tails of the court case ruling and this Morman thing.

Flipper Jr. & Flipper Sr. Leave Child Abuse News Releases at Kingdom Halls
by flipper inof course everyone knows about the news of the candace conti child abuse case which has gone viral , ( one would have to live in a cave, under a rock, or another planet not to know about it ).
that being said - it may very well be that those jehovah's witnesses who do not use the internet, or read newspapers, or in simple english are neanderthal's, still living in the 19th century or before , out of fear of negative reprisal from wt authorities may have not even heard about this case because they are in the habit of not watching the news or using the internet.. so- with those particular type of people in mind my son flipper jr. & myself decided to print up about 20 copies of the candace conti child abuse lawsuit from the england daily mail issue , here's the link : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2160605/candance-conti-molested-jehovahs-witnesses-member-age-nine-wins-28milion.html?ito=feeds-newsxml .. so what we did is since we are doing some out of town jobs in several counties we figured we'd leave these child abuse news releases under jw car windshields at kingdom halls while they are out in field service.
we left about 15 so far at 3 different kingdom halls under car windshields .

JWs wouldn't preach despite multiple opportunities...
by EntirelyPossible ini was on a date tonight, eating in a cuban restaurant owned by jws (they have never met me, incidentally, the food was really good) when i realized that there was not just one, but two conventions in town.
one was the standard english speaking district convention folks, the other was the asl folks using the assembly hall in town for their district convention.. my date, who knows all about my jw past, tries to strike up a conversation with some of them sitting at the bar, asks them what they are in town for, etc.
they just said "for a convention".
