What Bored You The Most As A JW?
by minimus ini got very bored while i was a witness.. the meetings were so boring!!!.
jws are supposed to be "busy" in the lord's work.
if you're busy, you shouldn't be bored, right?

...that all of us here (with maybe 1 or 2 excemptions), would actually make up a better paradise together than the JW's ever would!!!

Do I have the plague??
by Newborn ini live in a small town and run into my former "friends"every now and then and i just hate seeing them look away, cross the street not having to pass me and if we ever make eye contact i hate that look of pity...(who do they think they are!??
and still you know that even if you got the chance to talk to them it would be like talking to a wall).
i also want to add though that i've also met a few who did not know i left and who actually gave me a hug and said they wish i be back soon...yeah right!

Were you a good witness in school?
by keyser soze ini have to confess that i really wasn't.
it wasn't that i was bad.
i just didn't do all the things that were expected of me.. i remember being envious of those kids they would interview at meetings and assemblies; the ones who could stand up in front of all their classmates and talk about "the truth".

by Newborn inwhat i meant to ask was.
how much money would it take to bribe you to attend a full 3 day district convention again?.
and i realize it's a dumb topic.

MY SISTER IS NO LONGER ALLOWED TO PIONEER
by SusanHere inmy sister, a devoted jw of many decades, has chosen to attend another church.
she has been given a period of time to come to her senses and get back in line.
hopefully, she won't make that mistake.. the way she's being treated now by her former friends and leaders caused her to remark to me, "i never realized before how much they are like a cult.".

Great news!!!
Good for her
I'm hoping that my own sister will come to realize the same one day.
