Being honest & fair, can you think of anything that the Watchtower does that's beneficial to the public?
by Theocratic Sedition ini'm curious, as where i reside there's about to be a major brouhaha over the tax exempt status of a major player in this area.
reading and hearing the arguments from both sides conjured thoughts about the tax exempt status of religions and the arguments associated with that issue.
a significant portion of the arguments related to that issue center around how a tax exempt organization benefits it's community.

There have been occasions where they did help some in the community to learn how to read and write.
Naturally most of it came from studying the publications with some that were illiterate in the territory but still I have seen where they have used that in their arguments/reasoning of benefiting the community or general public.

I have the bound volumes of the WT for the years 1988,2004 and 2006 in the list above.
I'm not really interested in selling them but would be willing to loan them to help in your court case.
If you just paid the shipping to and fro wolud be fine with me.
Depending on how soon you need them, I imagine the shipping to you would cost a bit more if it needs to be very expeditious.
As far as the return shipping, it wouldn't matter to me if it took a month or more by ground (anything to save you some money) just as long as they were returned so that others might/may use them in the future for reference and court cases etc.
Also not sure where you are located but I'm in N.C.
If it is convenient or feasible for you to drive and pick them up from me that could be arranged as well. -

Prophesies True or False?
by PJoseph ini have been told jehovah's witnesses have made many prophesies, and none have come true.

PJoseph I see you are new to the board.
Welcome!
Here's an interesting thread discussing the subject already. I'll post a link and you can just click on it.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/226450/1/Here-we-go-again-on-false-prophecies
It is from this same board and highlights some of the failed "Expectations" (Prophecies)
It is in no way complete or exhaustive in its details but does list some of them and there are/were more but that sholud give you a starting point.
And do keep researching it. Remember keep knocking and it will be opened to you, keep seeking and you shall find.
And then you will get to were you know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Yes.
I'm sorry your wife was cheating on you even though it wasn't with me.
I tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen.
I'm sorry you had to find out about it on a public forum but someone had to tell you.

What do you believe about the bible?
by bethelyellowdollarbag ini'm interested in how we all view the bible?.
let me start by offering three different options:.
a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.

What do you believe about the bible?
I believe the bible makes an excellent paper weight.
If on a windy afternoon you open the window and your papers start blowing around in your office, set the bible on top of them for added weight and support from the scriptures.
Also if in the event a bug runs across your floor, see if they can survive the "word" falling from above them.
So far I've seen an ant, roach, housefly and a spider that didn't survive their judgement that came from above. But in all fairness to them it was the largeprint bible with references so it had a lot of added weight to it. -

Outlaw,
Why do you keep referring to it as AWAA instead of AAWA?
Or is there really a AWAA bogus group too?
I can see where this can cause more confusion on top of everything else if there's not two seperate groups.
I put this in bold to hopefully blend in with yours to catch your attention.
And if there is another group can someone tell me the difference?
