Now that's a cartoon I'd like all the kids in the world to see. (adults too)
I had to LOL at some of the captions in the word balloons.
2 thumbs way up for Aposta Girl

braincleaned (Vince),
Now that we are aware of your artistic talent as well as your real identity, any chance that you are going to change your avatar on here to either a real pic of yourself or an awesome cartoonish brain being cleaned....to fit in with your handle/title on here.
That would be kinda neat to have one of your original images on here as your namesake. :)

Vincent I applaude and admire your decision to "take the mask off".
I can only imagine how liberating and exhilarating that must feel.
I checked out your bibiography on wikipedia and thats quite a list of work and accomplishments.
My nephews and nieces would relate mostly to your work on SpongeBob Squarepants where as my son and I are impressed with the DC comics and Scooby Doo aspects.
Keep up the great art work, animations and comics and so glad to see that you are using your talents in helping others to see the WT for what it is.
With much respect,
StoneWall

integ,
Generally people put "marking" on a thread so it shows up on their list of topics posted to so that they can find it easier for later reference.
Maybe they don't currently have time to view the whole thread or a video or such.
So they can come back at a later time to look over the whole thing at their convenience that way.
Oh and BTW I really enjoyed the cartoon.
Hope whoever is responsible for making it does many more in the future. :)
with the bad economoic conditions that many are suffering through right now, it got me thinking about how it may/might affect the contributions/donations to the worldwide work.. do you feel most will be inclined to offer less monetarily at this time for their "new bibles" than say if it had been released a few years earlier?.
or do you think most will offer even more in the hopes that jah will bless their efforts?.
has anyone heard yet of a "suggested donation" amount that is being circulated around the k-halls as with all other publications etc.?.

I'm really curious what is the "going rate" or what they think their translation is worth.
tonight at our meeting we had 4 letters from "the branch" read at our meeting.
i was caught off guard since we usually have an advance warning when these letters are going to be read.
is the watchtower getting better at hiding these letters?.
James you are behind times buddy..
Each one of those has already been discussed on this very same forum because I read about them.
I'm too lazy right now to search for all of them but here is one thread from over a day ago talking about the 16 International Conventions.
Click on the link and you can read the thread.
Edited to add: Here is the link as well to the Pioneer school adjustments
So theres two of your 4 that you listed....the others are here somewhere as well.

the comments posted on the reddit site make for interesting reading too.. http://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/1o83fb/story_of_exjw_published_in_national_newspaper/.
story of ex-jw published in national newspaper (self.exjw).
Very good article and she is such a beautiful woman as well.
So glad she didn't end it all those few years before.
Hope many others read this and see that life does get better when having to exit the JW's or any other high control groups.
It may seem very hard at first but given time it can and does get better.
while in discussion with an elder from my old congregation, he asked if i had been given an opportunity to see the new bibles yet.. i told him yes that a family member had showed me one a few days back and some of the improvements (changes) that were in it.. as our conversation went along he asked me what i thought of the color.
i said well its certainly different from the black cover i was so used to or even going back further a few decades the green covered bibles when i was a child.
(we both got a chuckle out of that).

Then he proceeded to tell me why the greyish-silver color was chosen for the new revised bibles.
He said since the bible represents the sword of the spirit, this color was picked so that witnesses would call to mind that "we"(they) are engaged in spiritual war-fare and when glancing at their bibles this color would help them to focus on the task at hand.
Just like a swordsman from ages gone by, they would want to keep their swords(bibles) clean as well as sharp and be very adept at using it.
Thought I'd share this here and see if anyone else has heard anything similar regarding the color.
Also does this mean that will be the only color they will print it in or is this just for the "lucky" ones that got theirs on its initial release?
He said he'd bring me a copy (I guess this is their way of sneaking in a Elder visit) so I'm kinda looking forward to checking out the changes.

just wanted everyone to know that i got back today/night from my second jw funeral in less than 3 months and that both of them (2 different halls),were handled completely different than in times past.. used to be it seemed like a recruitment opportunity (as many of you have pointed out before), but these last two times it was totally different from previous times.
it didn't seem like they used the outline at all that had been posted in another thread a while back.. that was kinda interesting and refreshing at the same time to actually hear them focus more on the individual that had passed instead of only a few minutes about them and the rest all about the org.
(wt).

Anyways just wanted to share that and see if anyone else had noticed a difference or if it was just coincidence.
P.S. I haven't been to any other meetings in over 3 years (including the Memorial each year) and basically have missed almost all for going on near 5 years. It felt very odd them coming over to say they missed me (yeah right) and to show me the new revised NWT bible.
I'm betting I'll get another "Shepherding call" out of this.
There's only a few left now that when they die that I'll go to their funeral even if its at the KH, so I don't see myself going again for sometime.
Hope everyone here has been doing OK
