Let go of the anger huh?
Besides one of the seven stages of dealing with Grief being anger.
Oompa, Oompa, my dear bro, after I went back and looked over more of your past posts, you of all people should know better than to expect everyone just to let it go.
It's not that easy. Different people are on different legs of their respective journeys out of the Org. Some need the experiences of others regarding their initial shock at learning all wasn't as they had hoped or thought or was persuaded to believe.
Others need to hear about the denial. Where we kinda know that somethings wrong or amiss but we refuse to believe its the Org or what we were taught. So we figure it must be with us that the fault lies within.
But ultimately when some get past these two phases they get to that anger stage.
And oh how it can so hurt some individuals when everything they had ever hoped in or believed in as far as their faith and trust in man comes crumbling down around them.(I say it this way because I still have faith and trust in God but never again in what a man that is as imperfect as me tells me is God's will or words)
Some people may get over the anger in a relatively short duration of time whereas others that may have had more time involved or more friends and family may take a bit more to get over the loss.
I feel that in each phase there are going to be ones who will benefit greatly from the things said by many on here. Even regarding anger it lets others know that they are not alone in feeling that way.
But having said the foregoing I will have to state that getting over the anger is paramount to recovery and the rest of the healing process.
And judging by this threads title you seem to be headed in that direction.
So congrats on that Oompa.

A woman can run for 2nd in command of the free world but can't do the mikes
by Kudra in...at the kingdom hall.
yeah, a woman can run for the second highest position the world has to offer (i guess) but can't even give a talk that a 10-year old snotty-nosed kid can do at the f-n kh.
this used to annoy me no end at the hall... there were these morons doing the bible reading or what have you and they couldn't even pronounce the words.

And drum Roll please.....the number one reason for women not doing mikes
Brothers would be distracted from focusing on the stage as the sister walked up and down the aisle with a microphone as she silently and seductively shifted it from one hand to the other and gently tugged on the cord.
Many of the older brothers might start going into cardiac arrest or sweating profusely all the while their wives slap them in the back of the head for not keeping eyes on the stage. -

They "Keep Following the Lamb" - February Study Article (Praise for the GB)
by Ultimate Reality inthe article is not yet in print, however on jw.org you will find the audio recording for the february 15, 2009 study edition.. this article sums up some of the talks given over the past year or so.
it makes clear that we should trust the faithful and discreet slave because jehovah and jesus trust the "slave".
the slave has been faithfully providing spiritual food for 130 years.

Quoting A@G
Does that mean if a man has more than one wife the benefits are multiplied (for the men, at least)?
LOL. If that was true A@G King David and Solomon should still be around with as many wives as they each had. -

Jehovah invented the sword, and the lords prayer was futile pre 1914
by KnowlegeSeeker_UK inthese are two things i took to the c.o.
as a teenager.. i have always been inquizitive and the co agreed with me on both counts.
now i have recently left, it tells me how much a free for all the society leave the interpretation of the bible.. my first point was "jehovah must have invented the sword.....why ?".

Knowledgeseeker good points. I especially like the one about the sword.
Shows how even kids at young ages can tell something is wrong with a lot of the stuff we were persuaded to believe.
Like you I too started a few years back to question things. Not just WT related but much of what I thought or believed. This in turn led to me looking deeper into WT history and doctrine.
Keep searching for truth just as a buried treasure(yeah I know from the bible)
Make sure of all things and above all don't let another human tell you not to question them. -

Are most JWs really disfellowshipped for sexual reasons?
by JimmyPage inthat's the claim they always make.
but is that just a cover for the fact that most are now waking up to the b.s?
or that when people do wake up to the b.s.

I'm familiar with more than a few around here that got DF for smoking. Of all things to get DF for I'd have to think that would be at the bottom of my list.

Kingdom Hall Weddings - November Kingdom Ministry
by BluesBrother inif this has already been posted up - then i missed it.. this question box left me .

Oh wow!
That KM makes me want to run out and ask my wife if we can re-new our wedding vows this time at a kingdom hall so I can tell them all about our sex life. I love a captive audience. heehe
I can see me now when they ask," Do you StoneWall take this woman..." YES I take her and I already have taken her but let me tell you about the details.
It all started off as any normal day, me laying on my bed naked minding my own business when in walks a girl with a whip in her hand looking for you know who.
A smirk came across my face brother Elder as I knew this was going to be much more than an ordinary day. And just wait till I tell you about the many different uses for fruits of all types and handcuffs...... -

If you heard on the news that someone for a fact was going to die this year from a auto accident would that prevent you from ever leaving the house?
Doesn't seem rational does it? Considering how many die every day in this country as well as around the world on any given day, we still go about our lives and don't refuse to get on the road.
Use this same reasoning on every yokel that says peace and security or ban all religions etc.
When people try and tell me how close we are to the end I look them squarely in the eyes and say I sure hope so because I been waiting on it for 40 something years in my life and always hearing its right around the corner.
Remember there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear can subdue you and shackle you down so as you can't even enjoy life.
In contrast love of life can open up all the possibilites that fear closed off.
You will look forward to each new day instead of dreading what may or may not happen.
sincerely,
StoneWall
