AK-Jeff Amazing letter and so true in so many regards. I too used to be one of those that would judge people who
left without even giving them an opportunity to explain why.
In school they teach you to learn by asking questions: Who,What,When,Where,How and my favorite question WHY?
But as far as those who quit associating with the org I would just accept others explanation that they had turned
apostate without giving the individual the benefit of the doubt or simply asking them in person why?
I could have learned so much more at an earlier age just by simply asking that question more often of individuals as well
as the organization instead of someone saying well that isn't to be questioned.
But be that as it may this letter of yours does me good to see even now because it reinforces what I've already found
out, that the broad brush the society uses to paint all apostates as evil, liars, workers of injurious things, drunkards,
gluttons, idolaters, selfish etc. was just another of the things in which they were wrong.
I've seen more love shown on this board from strangers (such as when someone dies, goes into hospital, or going
through a divorce or other hard time) than I seen at the kingdom hall in quite sometime.
That is just my personal observation, others may have seen differently.
Anyways hope all are doing good as well as doing good to others.
Regards,
StoneWall
