it was incredible! The speaker was intelligent, poignant, funny, and deeply moving. The Watchtower wisely encouraged young ones to make spiritual advancement, and provided the exact formula to achieve wisdom! The audience participation was hugely stimulating, with well-researched thoughts from some of the world's greatest thinkers woven in to support the drift of the lesson.

i recall about 15 years ago, i had a semi heated discussion with my cousin about cigars.
i maintained that there would be nothing wrong with having cigars just for the smell, never lighting them, or lighting them and letting them burn while you're not around.
some have a very pleasant smell.
all things in moderation...including moderation. I finally succumbed to the lure of a good cigar, after 35 years of not smoking at all. Thoroughly enjoyable! I didn't die of cancer, I didn't stumble anybody, I wasn't involved in spiritism, it's not a "practice" of sin (though it might be if I had one stuck in my face all day.)
People didn't start smoking tobacco because it smells BAD!

the "offer" is a direct presentation of a Bible study in the "What Does the Bible REALLY Teach book. How in the world could I follow through if somebody was begging for it??! I had one of the better brothers with me though, an elder who has been a real friend for many years , who isn't horribly deformed in his judgementalness.
They feel like I would "snap out" of my "slump" if I just did more of everything to "build myself up." I don't think that any of them has really empathised regarding my situation.
Besides, most people in the world really do have empty lives, and a little hope is good.

Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places.
