  here are some excerpts of a man who was called on by 2 young female jws, received a not-at-home letter as well, and what he thought about them.

  i encourage you to read the whole thing, it is worth the laugh.. "it wasn’t pompeo knocking but he would have beamed approval on the two young women on the doorstep.

  Yup, Searril hasn't thought about it. Even simple door-to-door work is a bizarre thing to do. But commenting on the strangeness of sending letters to people as being over the edge is simply calling a spade a spade, not whining! Good topic, Blondie.

  I think that for ones who have been in the religion for a long time, it just seems normal or even extending kindness to people who have lost somebody they love. But it really isn't. It's opportunistic and predatory.

  The Witnesses confuse the ones "sighing and groaning over all of the detestable things" with simple humanity. Mostly because they have none of their own.

  I always figured that people thought the Witnesses were pathetic. I dreaded to think about the thoughts conveyed in those letters or the grammar, or the spelling. It was torture to stand on a doorstep with a poorly-educated, poorly-spoken representative of the Most High God who couldn't gather his thoughts into anything at all coherent, while he drove people mad with impatience.

  I couldn't blame a lot of them for cutting us off and saying that they weren't interested.

  admit it, we all have things that we reel off when people ask what our favourite music is, just the same as if people ask what our favourite movies are.

  we're meant to say "citizen kane" and "casablanca" and not "battleship" or "pacific rim" but we know what we're going to watch if they are ever on tv at the same time (and which ones we've never actually seen).. so how about some confession time?

  the so-called caliph, one of the most evil men in human history, has blown himself up along with three of his young children while being pursued by american special forces.. the ambition of isis was to expand the territory of the caliphate under the leadership of al-baghdadi to whom individual jihadists swear allegiance.

  now isis have nowhere to call home and no leader.

  what a pathetic bunch of losers.. they will of course appoint a new caliph and reprisal attacks will no doubt follow in western capitals by christmas but the more contemptible they appear they less likely it is that young men and women will join their delusional cause.. respect to the elite forces who hunted him down - those on the front line and the many intelligence specialists who made it possible.

  so if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

  This is the thrust of today's WT study. These ones will need to be supported and "encouraged" by the congregation. It all sounds like one big happy family. There are some who will do their best. And good for them if they are generous without adopting a parasite, but rather an appreciative, humble fellow Witness. Fine. I found that if I helped somebody in need and they let slip in casual conversation to an elder I had helped out, the elder came to me saying that the congregation does things by "arrangement," not just spontaneously. Rebuked for helping somebody! How about that.

  this has been a bug bear my whole life i think and not really sure how to address it as nobody else ever seems to do so.. and it relates to the question if god really created humans .

  he did a shithouse job in this regard.. i can`t speak for females this is entirely a male thing.

  from my perspective.. male adolescents at a very ,very young age , babies , get erections periodically and it has nothing to do with sexual fantasies ,because they don`t even have an awareness of sex between a male and a female at this time.. and it is second inbuilt nature to masturbate to relieve, get rid of the erection .
