Your sister thinks she's doing a loving thing for you,by shocking you into coming back!You can be sure it is someone at the hall behide this! God(sorry can I say that here) I can't believe they shun family,has things changed that much in JW world?When my grandmom was DF'd back in the 70's because they changed the smoking rule,she could not kick them,my mom could talk to her she just couldn't talk about the bible to her! I'm sorry you feel so hurt,please know your sister loves you and shes hurting too,she just got newthey scared her!

Banned from my sisters wedding

around 4 years ago i started a study with a jw lady.i didn't tell her this, but i was sexually abused at the age of 4 untill i was able to get away from them!
i went through life being angry,and i smoked pot so i could forget about the pain.my moms a jw and so is my brother,so i believed what they teach to be true!

Thanks all,for the welcomes and surport! I'm new at this forum thing,first one I posted in(afraid of the computor).I have trust issues which made me a pretty much a loner lately.I Hope I don't say the wrong thing in anyones post! It may take some time to find me again.just reading what you guys have experienced has helped so much!Sometimes my 2nd study conducter still brings me watchtowers,emails me,and offers to bring me to meetings.I told her I was in the six screens of the watchtower,she might not be back! Shes one of the nice ones,although she's afraid to come in my house now! Oh yeah,I had the demon talk too! Had me throwing all my dean koonz and john soul books out.Even had me going to the hall for our study,they think the demons are still here! So I haven't had a study in awhile,I'm not going down there again.I did try the phone line this past sunday,but couldn't help but think one comment from the friend of the girl who gave me that #said was meant for me,it was the part where wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse!She made a comment about people creeping in the and starting trouble! So no I won't be back,maybe a couple and sit behide her to p*** her off !

Not a convert , but was raise around the JW's beliefs.This is for casper"don't fear the man who can kill the body" "fear the one who can raise the soul" I think I understand this one,when a man kills your body,he can't take your soul.Your soul goes back to God.God can raise your soul but he can destroy your soul too,so you fear the one who can raise the soul! I ran from a lot of the JW teaching but I heard some, mom's a JW.I have a study although shes afraid to come around sometimes lately"demons in my house thing" I have no idea if I have this right,but this is how I understood that one! But next time if I see my conducter i'll see what answer she gives me on that!

Emotionally drained
by heybaby inwe got into another "discussion" about the validity of the wts and whether or not they teach the truth....i expected that, so it wasn't a big deal.
what i didn't expect is the interesting turn that the conversation took.
we actually discussed getting a divorce.

I'm sorry you are feeling so much strain in your marriage!Every relationship has the butting of the heads,you can't help this.Each person thinks differant it takes compromising on both parts to make it work!Believe me,I'v been married 24 years with a lot of butting heads it ain't easy,my husband does not believe in God,he's been highly upset over the years with the JW's stopping in for a study as long as they came when he's not here it worked out! I hope everything works out for you!

Witness fear of demons why?
by donny induring my ten year sojourn through the watchtower, i was always amazed at the witnesses fear and fascination with demons.
occasionally at gatherings, they would exchange "demon" stories, which were just a jw way of telling ghost stories, and you would usually hear a few "uhhs" and "oh my's" as the story was told.
although i had heard folks of other denominations mention demons, it was never with the "shock and awe" the witnesses put into it.

I am kinda with funky derek on the demon thing.According to JW's "worldly" people are associated with demons,the demons already have us!So naturally demons focus on the "truth"because demons want to lead the "true"Godly humans away!Everyone knows JW's are not "worldly"right,WRONG some act more "worldly" than "Godly"!
