That is awesome that you have a relationship that can stand the test of time....However, I seem to think that for many the WTS that is supposed to help families and overall the communities that the Kingdom Halls reside, actually are the main reason some marriages are failing. Would you agree??? By the way...twoof was meant to be "truth" LOL

I was reading a book on childrens names when I came across the name Bethel. Beth meant house and el was god. So Bethel means "house of god". Just like Beth Sarim means "house of the princes" and Bethlehem means "house of bread". One problem though.........El is a PAGON GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

Did Your District Conventions Have A Meat Market?
by Jeremy C ini was recently thinking back upon some of my unusual memories of being in the organization.
one of them was of the dodger stadium "meat market".. we used to attend our district conventions at dodger stadium in los angeles.
for those of you who arent familiar with the stadium, dodger stadium has a very large level with blue seats - which is the largest level within the stadium.

Yes, I remember the "Meat Market" as it was called. But my take on this is that as a witness, a person was always in the wrong. If you showed me a convention where 40,000 people attended, as was the case back then, and there were no social gathering spots we would then conclude that those in attendance were anti-social. Yet young people who have a chance to meet others from around the county "mingle" and we call it a meat market! I am a big sports fan. I will tell you at least in So Cal, there are "meat markets" at every event. Have you been to a Dodgers game? A Kings game? Hell, ever been to a Lakers game? That's what people do! It is just that the WTBTS and the Co's and Do's and elders had to make up some ludicrous term to make young ones feel guilty for not making the talks that were presented, the number 1 reason for attending the DC. PS........ what about Gate F in San Diego!!!!!!
