4mylove....I read this entire post and everyone pretty much somes it up. But your friend probably is suffering from being to smart and probably to attractive for her own good! Did you ever think that the dumb ones in the hall tried to put you down, and the unattractive ones belittled you. I wonder if that has happened to your friend and she really believes what is said about her. Dating really is about finding a friendly and safe person and building from there. You really should positively reinforce to her that she is a catch. Have you ever asked her , how she thinks of herself? That may tell you alot!!!!!!!!!!

Did you intentionaly make your talks shorter so the meeting would end quick
by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH ini think the school works differently now, but when i was a kid, a #2 talk was 5 minutes and i would give it in about 3 minutes...why did the meeting still end at 9:15!
ps.........do you remember when those tms meeting were 2 hours??????

by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH ini only say this, becauce at the age of 35, i have experienced quite a bit since my mom was df'd when i was 23. i have seen molester's (semintal) get private reproof.............. and during the same time frame, a brother in murrrieta,ca.
( brother dailey) who had an absolute, terrible reputation, (stealing,lying,child abuse) had been caught "red handed" committing .....fornication!!!
.............yet he threatened the elders, (conclan,winder,rennee)........ and they did nothing!........

My point was not that my mom was necessarily DF'd for the wrong reasons, I personally do not like the process becauce I do not think it works, but if it was correct for anyone to be DF'd, then my mother being DF'd could have been justified. However, those other individuals were not! Why the double standard for molestation and fornication. Especially when you consider the consent vs. non-conscent components involved. This post is to show, that it is not about weather or not you are deserving but how much of a problem you are when your DF'd.

I spoke of this on another thread, but on Super Bowl Sunday in 1994, the DO went over 20 minutes while including the fact that the "World" was putting their energy in sports and that we should put our's in Jehovah. I just remember everyone watching how I was handling the situation. Playing along, I just put my hands over my face and put my head down to my knee's..........What a childhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1970, I really get your rant...........watching a brother who struggles to give a descent talk in a short amount of time, looks terrrible when his ramble goes on for a long time. Especially when as kids, 1 minute during those snooze fest seemed like an hour!!!!!!!!

StAnn, so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those elders had to know they were BORING! They were insecure about the fact that anything would be more of a reason to go to the meeting than to hear their rants. How about the RULE about showing up to the meeting 20 minutes early!

An irony for me!
