Band on the run: How would Jesus communicate with them? Do they hear an actual voice? How do they discern their private thoughts from those of Jesus? Jesus was puzzling and always doing the unexpected.

First of all, he would not "announce" himself to the Watchtower, of all things!

He would make no formal announcement, but he would be high profile. And you would only know him by his fruits.

Besides, Revelation does not say that Jesus is coming back. It says one "LIKE" the son of man. (Notice John does not call him "son of god".)

It will be a man who has attributes and characteristics reminiscent of the christ archetype.

Speaking in tongues as portrayed above is just bullshit.

During the biblical mention of it at Pentecost, it was probably referring to some foreigners in the midst, perhaps traveling through. I am sure there was once a logical explanation for it until the wierdo religionists got a hold of it and gave it a new meaning out of a lack of understanding and knowledge of what really transpired.

The WT speaks with a forked tongue. I wonder if that counts as "different tongues"?

as some of you know, i'm a college professor.

i was in my large lecture course yesterday (a couple hundred students).

It is certainly not a normal thing to say...or even to think of. It would send up red flags to me. Good that you reported it. Try to find the guy again. When you do, make sure it's him and then discreetly see if he can't be transferred out of your class by some other school official. Maybe with excuse that class was over quota size or some benign excuse.

Don't know how to leave: FADE or DA letter?

i wondered if any of you ex elders can help me to figure out what my status is and therefore how to log out from the borg.

i was baptized at 15, faded at 18. never heard anything from the elders after their first visit, which wasn't about a big deal and had no conclusion.

Unless you officially DA, the baptism and your confession that it's Jah's org will bind you and give them legal authority over you. Write the DA letter!

And yes, they do have legal authority. They are a sovereign entity and that is the only reason there is a "separation" of church and state: each respect the other's sovereignty. That's why you see so many charlatans like Benny Hanna and all those other quacks and no one will stop the lies.

I told my daughter I was leaving "the truth" this weekend.

last week, i told you i was going to tell my daughter that i was leaving the truth this weekend and you all gave me sound advice.

but, i cannot keep a secret this heavy from the person i love most on this earth, my only daughter, who is beautiful inside and out.. well, i have always had an open and honest relationship with my daughter, and i guess it paid off.

this weekend i visited my daughter (who lives in another state) and i told her i was leaving "the truth.

my jw came over yesterday with a video she wanted to show me, i forget what it was called but it was about the history of the watchtower.normaly i don't have a problem discussing the bible with her, but i just could't sit through this bs video.

i already know the history of the watchtower,.

and it certianly isn't what this video was going to portray.

Hive mentality

during this holiday break i have been reading about a subject found in the animal world called "the hive mentality".. when you watch bees at work they are totally focused on one thing, protecting the queen, and sustaing her and her eggs.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/hive_mind.

while reading , i could not help but notice how much in common bees, and jw's have in common.

there is nothing outside of the hive.. no big comment from me here, it was just a very interesting read and i thought some of you might enjoy it.. happy new year !.

What do you mean by "something far grander waiting for them in the wings"? Do you have some knowledge of what they have planned for our loved ones who are still inside? If you could give us some idea of what they plan to do, that is, if you know something as you imply, then perhaps we could head it off or do something to keep them from being hurt. We need to know.
