What is the WTS take on Speaking in Tongues?

"Speaking in tongues" was most probably translated from an ancient word that meant being bilingual or multilingual. I imagine some people wandered outside of their home territory and learned new languages in other areas.

This baby talk bullshit is just some more of the ear tickling lies being brought to you by those who make a good living and tidy fortune off of misrepresenting spiritual matters.

There is no demon embodied in these people except the demon of deceit. What they do is done consciously and in their own mind. They do this to appear "more spiritual" than others and just like JWs, they think this performance shows everyone else that they are "closer to god than you are". Some religions require that one has to speak in tongues as "Proof" that they have been accepted by god and have salvation. It is called "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" and yes, it is a blasphemy.

Do non-JW's who die after 1914 get resurrected?

i read something that indicates the wts believes that all those who lived & died after 1914 will not be resurrected.

supposedly they believe everyone has had an opportunity to hear the wt message.

is this really a wt belief?

At the time of Armageddon---which is right now---those who are alive will be presented with much information in order to be able to make a choice as to whom they will serve. No man can serve two masters. JWs now have much information available about their cult. If they choose not to acknowledge it or read it...well, they have freewill. But they have chosen to listen to the Watchtower masters rather than heed the Spirit of Truth. The point is that in the end no one of this generation living today will be able to say "I did not know."

The only reason they may not know is because they chose to not know. They exercised their free will to serve man.

Will they be resurrected? You bet. The scriptures say the resurrection is for the just and the unjust alike. What will happen to obedient JWs that are resurrected? They will get their punishment. They will be left here to clean up the mess. This is going to be a really nasty planet when the evil ones are done wrecking it. It will be a wasteland. Why do you think JWs have been discouraged from education? You don't need to know anything about science in order to pick up dead animals and bag them. JWs have trained to be the cleaning crew and that's what they will get.

The resurrection of the just? There will be a new heaven and a new earth.

What "scripture is inspired of God?"

this has been discussed before in other threads and probably in threads of its own, but it is probably time to re-hash the topic.. when paul told timothy that "all scripture is inspired of god..." what "scripture" was he talking about?

did he have the ego to include his own personal letters to the congregations?

did he also mean to include the books and letters not written at the time that the catholic church would choose for its canon a couple hundred years later?

Because it is the unbelievers who have been misleading you and many others. It is right that they should be brought to ruin. Those who "serve Jehovah" will be destroyed by Jehovah. Jehovah is not your Creator.

The 2nd Coming has already been proved to be a mistake

while the whole world of christianity waits and longs for the 2nd advent of jesus because it will bring their reward.... jehovah's witness already had theirs!

they simply declared that "jesus is back!".

1914 was the date assigned.. true, jesus was invisible.. true, armageddon didn't come.. true, the world went on spinning as before.. but, 1914 was date certain and remains so.. instead, jehovah's witnesses starting treating armageddon the same way mainstream christianity treats the 2nd coming.. it's coming any minute!.

"Jesus" is not coming back to set up any kingdom here. First of all he said his kingdom was not of this world. Secondly, we are told in Revelation that "one LIKE (similar to) Jesus" will come at the last days of this system.

The one who is LIKE Jesus will also have the characteristics of the Archangel Michael.

You would need to know what these characteristics are in order to recognize them.

Jesus said that Elijah came and the people knew him not. He meant that one who had the characteristics of Elijah and people did not discern. It will happen again in these last days that people will not discern the arrival. Everyone will have the opportunity to see it but not all will recognize it for what it is. When the alarm clock rings, many people hit the "sleep" button and roll over again.

i used to pioneer and all that and new the bible well and could cite scriptures backwards and forwards...(i regret i didn't have any other skills to brag abt).

today i hardly recall any scriptures...(except for matt 24:14 that may never go away though ).

since i left i haven't opened a bible ones.

The Bible is a Masonic Book.

Every word in it must be approved by the Pope.

Every translation must be approved by the Pope.

The Pope claims to be the mouthpiece of God.

Therefore, the WT must be taking direction from the Pope as well.

Do you think the "annointed" and "the remnant" are the same thing?Why? Your title says 'remnant' yet your post speaks of 'annointed'.

Remnant definition:

He ratted on you to the elders before, didn't he? I thought you had made some progress educating him to the truth about the truth and exposing him to the website here and all.

In the end, I guess we can only take responsibility for ourselves. And of course the ones we have brought into this world while they are too young to make their own decisions.

The "rock" is a metaphor. It was not an actual boulder. The "rock" was the prophetess Miriam.

Since when can anyone hit a rock with a stick and get water?

Wells can be drilled through rock, but why do people just accept this far fetched idea you can hit a rock with a stick and get water? Maybe if you hit twice you can get a Snickers bar.

It is all metaphor and the real story is not being told!

Water has spiritual connotation. Without "water" they had no spiritual direction. "Water" represents the guidance of the prophetess. No wonder they never got out of the desert. They were listening to a woman giving directions.

Oh, and P.S.: Don't forget that the Watchtower claims to be "God's woman". (One of the Harlot's daughter's no doubt.) You still got a woman giving directions. You'll never get out of the desert. You will always view the Promised Land from a distance.

Your brother is right. The wicked ones are in the process of totally destroying the earth right now. Drilling holes beneath the ocean floor that will forever leak and mess up the eco system; poisoning animals and people with chemical sprays, vaccines, genetically modified foods that are not compatible, etc. etc. It will be a wasteland when they are done.

This will be the next project for JWs. Cleaning up the mess. For the next thousand years. Working toward making it a "paradise". It will be an inhospitable desolate place for a long time. This is why JWs have been told they don't need an education. Because in the new system you won't need a college degree to pick up dead animals and shovel mud. JWs have always been designated to be "the cleaners".

And yes, the spaceships are here and picking up certain people along and along for a certain period of time. The "bad aliens" have always been here on this planet directing technology and the wars, etc. It is the "good aliens" that will be coming in the ships.

They will not make contact with the world, but just with certain individuals who will be taken with them to the new place.
