What make you think that they don’t know what they are doing?
In my opinion they are aware of the damage and pain they cause.

the recent internet phenomenon seems to be that 1. some news story breaks, and then 2. people start talking about it and twittering and forwarding emails about it.
and then it multiplies and multiplies until finally, 3. the whole world is talking about it.
the same with the madoff scheme.
“People don't care much about an relatively obscure religious sect that doesn't much bother anybody else outside their membership.”
I agree with sir82 on this one. Until 9 mounts ago I, didn’t knew anything about the witnesses. I though (and I think that most “worldly” people do), that the religion was a little awkward, but still a harmless one.

over the easter period my family and i took a well deserved break.
we travelled to our hometown to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary.
however, the treatment we experienced from my in-laws was totally appalling.
"In contrast, they are the ones that fear me. It is utterly laughable to see former acquaintances look the other way or cross the road when I approach. Wow! What great power I have!"
"You may wish to show it to your elders as well if you so wish. And we all know what they will tell you to do with it. I really do not give a hoot. The organization is so damn scared of me because I have secrets that they know I can expose on a much larger scale here in South Africa. Those secrets you guys have the right to know."
WOW!, WOW!

i've decided to write a series of articles aimed not at jws or ex-jws, but non-jws caught in the "crossfire" between the individual and the organization.
too often the loved ones of ex-jws feel like they're on the sidelines when it comes to religious issues.
i wanted to help the woman who's husband still won't decorate the christmas tree, the man who's wife will cook a ham but won't hide eggs for the kids on easter, or just anyone wondering why their significant other is being shunned by his/her family at the behest of a book publishing corporation.
Thanks

Yes, it normal for a dog to pee at almost every surface. That’s the way they use to mark their territory.
did you have enough of boasting, and decided to walk out?.
that's what happened to me during this week's bs about how to "treat the disfellowshipped"?.
i just picked up my bag and stormed out...... will i get called into the back room?.
Yes, I walk out the first time I went to a meeting.
I think it was June or July, 2008. I believe that they were talking about a married woman who acceptance a promotion at work felt bad because she didn’t have time to go door to door. I believe that the husband have by the same situation. To make the story short, they both resigned (a believed that they where professionals) and accepted a part time job to be able to go door to door.
Then walk away in a hurry, I thought that he was extremely stupid that two professionals, not only rejected promotions in their work place, but decided to quit in order to have more time to go door by door.
