Skeptics ARE going to be skeptics, thats a given. However, I may not side with one, but i do love the controversy they provoke, regardless of where they stand. I myself am a bit of a shit disturber, but only for the controversy it promotes. :p
Oh Cameo, great revealer and story teller. While I will stop far short of calling you names, its with stark skepticism that I look upon your post. Once again, no offense either. With your dazzling displays of insight,with regards images of coiled serpents and the like, that you wouldn't already be familiar with the "Kundalini", as your post might suggest.

omg that is one scary experience
I ask, because I went through a terror filled experience a number of years ago. It was an experience that left me in a state of conflict, and it's not something that most people would understand or relate to. I carry it with me to this day, and am presently trying to work the nerve up to perhaps post it here sometime. It's my understanding that the whole "awakening" is different for everyone. Having read numerous books and hearing various experiences with the whole "process", I have never really been able to find a proper place to settle. It's a no brainer for someone who lives black and white, but my world has many shades of grey.

Hey buzkid. As you can see, I'm a newb. I do sympathize with you and all, but this being an open forum promoting expression,i thought i might take minute to do that. Of course, with hopes of putting things together for some sort of clarity and understanding with regards the topic or thread. If i offend, I truly mean none.I understand where your coming from, but you have a personal stake in this particular situation in which you speak of. I admire your loyalty to your friend , as seen in the way you desperately want to defend iloowy in one form or another. Naturally, it's nice to have friends, and beyond that, it's a nice feeling knowing you have one anothers back to boot. So, kudo's to you for your effort.
foremost, this "we" and contrasting it to the WT. Are you a little caught up in the emotion of the current situation perhaps? I ask this only cause you seem a little charged up. "This post is about the character and tolerance WE show and how that compares with the WT." Come on. Seriously, you sound just like the WT. Your grouping the "WE" in here to include everyone, and would ideally like everyone to support your idea of an ideal arrangement. That is exactly why this site exists, cause that very idea is flawed. While I'm not familiar with the iloowy situation, I'm quite sure no one is telling him or her HOW to live their life, or to wear a dress or tie while posting. I can see you in my minds eye right now buzkid, walking past a restaurant with a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" sign posted on the door. You have it opened, with your head stuck inside, yelling " HEY, EVERYONE has the right to eat ya know!".
I feel for ya. It's awsome to see some real emotion. Sorry that your feelings are affected to such a large degree and hope you find the place in you to be settled about this.

The idiocy of accepting new people to the KH with no background checks!
by restrangled injust recently before the book study was cancelled, a young man started coming into my mom's home for the same.
she was alarmed and asked the elders, to please have him go to the kh for the study.
they ignored her worries and he continued to attend at her home.

Now THAT would have been one interesting JC! Great point restrangled. Sitting here, I'm amazed that in my recollection (albiet brief) i don't recall anything that harsh going down at a bs ever. I do recall some wingnut who was "studying" getting all worked up at a bookstudy (at the hall) over some goodlooking sister. She sensed it and avoided him, and he made a spectacle of himself cause I think he wanted to ask her out or something...it was the weirdest thing I ever experienced.
He suddenly was married to a full time pioneer by the Justice of the Peace after the bookstudy ended.
You mean in a short amount of time right? Not literally I hope. Did you ever hear anything more beyond that? I don't blame your Mom either! It is funny what some consider to be "normal" when your on the inside. Makes me wonder about the BS arrangement being changed from a completely different angle now....

Hi there Badboy. I have made a few...im assuming your talking prank phone calls?
Go back a few years to when i was about 13. Me and my buddy went on a tear of prank phone calls to amuse ourselves. We chose a family in our hall that we thought my fall for it and had some fun with it. The sister who answered was about 50 at the time, and thinking back to it still makes me laugh...
We called and it was my turn to take this one. Putting on the deepest voice i could at the time, it went something like this.
Ring Ring ring....
Her: " Hello? "
Me: : "Good afternoon maam, this is (insert name here) your local telephone company calling"
Her : " Yes? "
Me : " Maam, we are calling to let you know that locally, we are doing some work on your telephone lines. It is important to let you know, that in the event that your phone rings over the next hour or so, you should at all costs avoid answering it as our technicans run the risk of electrocution while exposed to working on the lines."
Her : " Why yes, of course, thank you for calling."
Me : "thank you maam and have a great day."
So that was it, all set up. Now all we had to do was wait a few minutes. We waited and called back, letting it ring and ring. No answer. We carried on for I don't know how long, but to no avail. FINALLY, after a LOT of calling, and numerous rings over the span of about 20 minutes...
Her : "HELLO?"
Me : "ouch ouch ouch ahhhhhhh!"
To this day I wonder why she never unplugged her phone from the wall...but boy did we have a good laugh at the time! We tried to call back for quite a while after that too, only to get busy signals. Made us laugh even harder thinking she must have called the telephone company. We never did get nailed for that one...lol

Dear Cameo. Perhaps you can bear with my ignorance in asking a question or two, especially considering that I really don't know you like others apparently do.

Is this the way that you actually feel at present, or do you ask it trying to seek? I'm most curious about this. Does your heart match the likes of your head? You often come across as dismissive to me. You ask questions, and many of them. Some folks " not in the know" want to engage and sometimes it seems like your on a mission. Are you looking for answers? Perhaps better put, do you see yourself as a modern day "fisher of (wo)men"? I mean really, what's in a name? One definition of cameo is "A brief vivid portrayal or depiction". While you have many questions, you also have very strong opinions on some things. More often than not, you present your opinions WITH questions, all the while making your thoughts presented even more obscured to the average joe like myself.

by african GB Member inall of us on this forum know that jw org is just another cultic group..... we all know how confident and sure they feel about their org being the only one recognised by god (jehovah).. can anyone tell us what's behind their arrogance?....holy spirit?
( well i know that will be their answer) i don't believe that because it can't be proven.. don't tell us it's jehovah...... what gives the gb so much power to deceive so many people?.
sometimes i just wonder if maybe jw org is the truth, perhaps i should just swallow my pride and go to the elders and ask them to pray for me and get jehovah's forgiveness and undeserved kindness...... am i being naive or what?.

Your posts that I have read in the past, seem to have been less than "wanting to know", and have been presented in a way that " you know already". Are you trolling, or are you conflicted?
