Hi and Welcome FTG. Great to have another Aussie on board. And it's fantastic that both you and your wife are out.
My hubby and I faded together about 4 1/2 years ago.

then add the pineapple:.
now add some fresh basil.
chop up some basil (thai basil is best), and mix into the vegetable medley.. .
Wow Leolaia this looks delicious and it has some of my favourite things in it - caramlised onion, pineapple, coconut milk, macadamias and best of all Vanilla Bean.
I am definitely going to try this out. I was thinking that to make it easier and less to juggle at one time that I could prepare the vege medley up to the stage where you say to refrigerate it and also the pineapple sauce (all the way including pureeing it) earlier in the day so all I have to do with the sauce is reheat it when the fish, veges and noodles are nearly ready.
Thanks for posting it.

an email i just received:.
after our meeting today with cbn world bank of nigeria plc .
we write to notify .
Ok cameo that would turn me off the lear jet. How about the Citation or Gulfstream or is that the same?
Maybe we'll all just have to row a boat to our tropical island!

I do like the sound of the lear jet/private tropical island thing.

i thought it would be an interesting exercise to ask everybody on here what their 'top 10 reasons why jws don't have the truth' actually were.
maybe we can see some correlating views/patterns/ideas that may help us de-programme the newbies that come on this site.
if eventually most people have an outstanding gripe/concern it'll help everybody understand the ex-jw mindset a little better.
NLOS - these are the top ten things that started my husband and I's alarm bells ringing that maybe JWs don't have the truth. I must say though that at first these alarm bells were just little dings every now and then, but they started getting louder and louder and ringing more often during the last few years we were in, until they were deafening and we had no choice but to take notice of them. Now we have been out for nearly 5 years after 40+ years in.
1. Hypocrisy and double standards of the elders and prominent ones (this sickened my husband while he was an elder)
2. Nepotism and favouritism
3. Lack of genuine love in the congregation
4. Wondering how the holy spirit could have appointed men to positions while they were secretly doing wrong
5. The way GB members and visiting bethelites were almost worshipped and the 'brown nosing' by the R & F towards such ones
6. Seeing how unkind and unchristian those with prominent positions could be (such as my bethelite BIL and SIL)
7. The covering up of pedophillia (witnessed this first hand in our area)
8. Wondering why so many JWs are depressed and on medication for it when we were told we were the happiest people on earth - not
9. The evil shunning policy even of close family members (something I am now a victim of)
10. Learning about the real history of the organisation and all the lies and deceit carried out by the leaders of the WTS

good evening jwn!!...
as most of you know i live in a forest,in the mountains..at night there is very little light pollution... so the sky is one big theatre screen... i see shooting stars, northern lights, satellites, planes on a destination..it`s all very beautiful... tonight was different... .
tonight there was something in the sky that defied anything i`ve ever seen... it had multiple aircraft lights but not like regular airplane lights..it wasn`t a helicopter... it could go straight up or down... move in one direction then head in another..it could do all kinds of weird stuff... sometimes it just hovered..then start doing all these weird maneuvers... regular aircraft is going somewhere,it`s headed in a direction..not this thing... i watched a regular airplane pass it... .
Sorry about the blank post but it will not let me go back and edit it.
There seems to have been a bit of this kind of activity in BC and Canada recently. Here are some links.

The second link mentions a triangular shaped object.

while having a conversation at a night club with two guys ( i go salsa dancing at least 3 times per week) i was telling of a story of a time i went with a friend to a strip club but we left because our consiences felt guilty ( my friend was still in bethel).
so i said "since i was a member of this religion".
at that moment one of they guys immediately asked me "which religion?".
That was great cj. You handled that very well. Let's hope he goes away and does some research and real thinking.
Don't you just love anti-witnessing!!

Welcome TLD. It's great to hear of your 'awakening' to the lie.
There are many great stories on here of elders and ex elders who have successsfully faded. Cantleave is one that comes to mind and Tastingfreedom is another that has recently left. He put a story on here a few days ago about his journey called something like "From Elder to a Free Man".
My husband (who had been an elder) and I faded about 4 years ago.
