NEW LAW Starting July 2012 in Qld Australia Preventing Door to Door Sales

i just read this in our local newspaper this morning and thought it is very interesting.

this law is aimed at door to door marketing by companies but i am wondering if this may end up including religious 'sales persons'.

the comments below the story are worth reading as jw's and religious callers are definitely who many people want stopped under this new law.. .

i read this article in our local newspaper (online) tonight and thought what the ombudsman said about scientology's use of 'volunteer' workers was very interesting.

i feel many of the statements made in the report could also apply to the wts.. here's the article.

the movie is about an evil scientist who kidnaps children to steal their dreams for his own selfish means.. .

it is something that now to me seems very illogical in the adam and eve story.

Australian Senator Slams Scientology in Parliment - Could JWs Be Next?

australian senator xenophon slammed scientology in a speech in parliment.

it was covered last night on national tv here by a current affairs program today tonight.

by sheer chance (as i usually do not watch tv) it was starting when i went into my mil's room (she is a jw who lives with us) so i stayed and watched the program.. the senator stated at the end of his speech, "scientology is not a religious organisation, it is a criminal organisation that hides behind its so-called religious beliefs.".
