This year there seems to be quite a bit of coverage regarding the Disctrict Convention. Newspapers throughout the US and Canada have covered it. Also many TV stations have covered it? What gives? Did the WT run a big public relations campaign or something to get the media to take notice or something? Or is it just a coincidence?

some of the memorable moments today would be:.
1) the nutty mother on stage with her little boy who became an unbaptized publisher at 6. i missed his current age, but he was a tiny little kid, couldn't be much older than a couple years over 6. tomorrow he gets baptized.
2) the husband and wife couple who work part-time to pioneer, but wanted to do more so they sold their home, down-sized to one car and made other adjustments to make their lives more simple to put the kingdom first.
How many of those experiences such as the pioneer experiences are 100% true anyway? Also if true to what extent might they have been embellished?

i looked over the aug. 1 public watchtower and noticed the same changes i observed previously.. plainly put, it appears that they have simply run out of things to say and so are just filling up printing space!.
they devote 4 full pages to a bible reading schedule that could have been easily condensed into a couple sentences.
they have the same large graphics and typeset that eats up printing area.
But I wonder whether the rank and file will even blink.
